Big news! Reno has ended its contract with Flock! Our community spoke up and our actions are making real change for the better! But let's be very clear: cancelling Flock to hire another ALPR surveillance company like Axon is not a solution. It's not the company that's the problem, it's the spying.

It’s official, the 2026 El Niño has broken a record for the highest ocean anomaly in 170+ years… Incredibly reaching that threshold a full 2 months ahead of 2015’s record of +3.02C set on Nov 18th. See that red line? That’s 2026. Every other bold line are the strongest El Niño’s on record. 1/

Imagine if the media took the words of climate scientists as seriously as it does that rando from Anthropic… Air pollution and climate change from fossil fuel use are literally killing millions of people every year, but sure, let’s focus on the idiocy that “AI is going to kill everyone in 10”.

Great chart illustrating how 11,000 years of agriculture, and resulting civilization, depend on a stable climate, which we have just obliterated in just 150 years. Chart source: u/glibsonoran (2026), Ice-core data: Jouzel et al. 2007 (EPICA Dome C); instrumental: HadCRUT5/NASA GISTEMP."

The new ENSO Euro Plumes were released this morning. Hard to believe, but they are even stronger! Some members are even above 4°C! Remarkable. To be helpful I added color bars to distinguish between strong vs historic events. Almost all members are historical! Now here’s the relative… 1/2

The most anomalous maximum temperature recording regarding stations and their records seems to be 33.3ºC at Wellesbourne. This beats the old May record for the station by 6.1ºC before this spell (27.2ºC, 2010) as well as the June record by 2.2ºC (31.2ºC, 1976), extraordinary.

This chart shows the precipitable water column globally. That translates to the amount of water being held in the atmosphere. Right now we are at the highest level ever recorded. That means, when combined with the incoming super el Nino, the resulting storms will be catastrophic. You are warned.

The most extreme U.S. March heatwave on record is now nearing an end. For the first time in 9 days, #Phoenix stayed below 100F (37.8C). Nevertheless, additional records were set. Below are some March 2026 values that reached or exceeded April Monthly records during the #heatwave.

The EPA just exempted all 199 U.S. coal plants from mercury emission limits. Stated goal: save coal from cheaper energy sources. Actual result per EPA's own data: 0% change in electricity prices. What will change: mercury in Great Lakes fish. Full report: buff.ly/zqvLeux #Mercury #GreatLakes

8 different states tied or broke their APRIL monthly record during the March heatwave of 2026. Warmest winter on record without a doubt. Next year will have a good shot of beating it too because we are cooked 🫠

Even without El Niño, Global Sea Surface Temperatures are already hitting daily record highs. We're now entering a climate hotter than has existed for hundreds of thousands of years!

It's goodbye winter, hello summer in March 🔥🌍🫠

Daniel Swain@weatherwest.bsky.social

All signs continue to point to an exceptional, long-duration, and record-breaking to (in some cases) record-shattering March heatwave initially centered across U.S. Southwest but expanding to much broader region next week. This is effectively a full-on summer heatwave in March.

1. WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT "THE CLIMATE" ? Because it has gone away? No, because it is so bad that if we talked about it we would realise that we have a binary choice: dismantle capitalism OR universal death. Not as a matter of ideology but as an objective matter of civilisational survival.

We're going boldly into the unknown 🌍🔥🫠

Leon Simons@leonsimons.com

🐂💩📈 We are changing the climate of our planet faster than in the known history of our world. Methane reached a record high of 1946.5 ppb! That's already much higher than the peak of the mid range climate scenario SSP2-4.5, which peaks at ~1905 ppb in 2030!
