What's especially "problematic" is the continued conflation of the "warming pauze" narrative pushed by climate change deniers and the factual (more than?) doubling of global warming, which is based on real climate science (and acknowledged by NASA, NOAA, WMO etc).

Outgoing longwave (IR) radiation is heat energy radiated to space. Absorbed sunlight (shortwave/visible light) is turned into heat (mainly specific heat, which is temp increase). So more absorbed heat indeed leads to more outgoing IR radiation. Increased greenhouse gases limit relative OLR.

The region most impacted by shipping desulphurisation shows a net-flux increase more than double the global Earth's Energy Imbalance increase. Both driven by a very strong increase in absorbed sunlight and a RELATIVE decrease in Outgoing Longwave Radiation.

The regional and global shortwave signature (= more absorbed sunlight) from NASA CERES satellite data indicates a strong aerosol forcing and cloud feedback. The CO₂ forcing doesn't increase linearly with atmospheric increase and if it was due to CO₂, we should see it in the LW signature. We don't.

Many versions of the current El Niño intensity have been shared… we’ve had to change the colour scale to appropriately show the strength of the anomaly.
