#StarfleetAcademy had a good opening episode but episode two had some really dodgey writing. A lot of that can be attributed to the dumb Burn storyline that has ruined future Star Trek. The other is the horrendous dialogue. I don't know if doubling down of the lead being a dick is a good idea.
