I swear. Disney has more in common with LJN than both Walt's and the renaissance. The shoddy adaptations of random IPs, lack of love and care put into it, milking things, fooling people into consuming garbage, unoriginal. Sounds familiar don't you say.

We need to find something better to do than continuing to drag out franchises that should be left to rest so big companies can sit there making the same five or six movies repeatedly for the next century

George Lucas wrote a year by year life story of Indiana Jones as the basis of the ‘Young Indy Adventures’. Some episodes of the TV show haven’t aged well but many of the concepts behind Indy’s life were quite interesting. I hope they use Lucas’ vison rather than a tired retread of things we’ve seen.

I have no opinion on a possible reboot one way or another, but This is not how you use the word "reportedly." This is ONE GUY WHO DOESN'T WORK FOR DISNEY SAYING HE *THINKS* DISNEY WILL REBOOT THE FRANCHISE. That's not reportedly, and it's not news. I thought you guys were better than this.

I can happily tolerate clickbait, but one random person who DOESN'T WORK AT A COMPANY randomly speculating on what that company might do is NOT FREAKING NEWS and should not be treated as such.

I can't wait for the new MAGA approved version where they re-set it in the 1950s and 60s and instead of punching Nazi's, Indy is blowing up VW busses full of hippies and taking out dangerous civil rights leaders.

There are movies with solid stories that could’ve been better made and are deserving of a remake. “Raider’s of the Lost Ark” is not one of those. It’s great and timeless. Please, Disney, for the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, hire some good writers to write some new and original stories.

Hey there is no reporting on this, the article from DisInsider that you cited from Skyler Schuler is, at best, Fan Speculation. I don't want reboot slop as much, if not more, than anyone else. However, you actually need facts and logic to report on this and you have neither

Indiana Jones works best as a foil to the Nazi conquest. I guess we are rebooting Naziism in our country, so rebooting the franchise makes sense. I would have preferred the “James Bond approach” years ago over trying to pitch me old Indy as an action hero. Viggo Mortensen was my choice back then.

they'll have him fighting cartoon commies instead. they want the ark not because they are occultists but because they will destroy the religious artifact in the name of dialectical materialism. also it will be set in the reagan era, and the president wants it for his collection

I don’t think that that is an issue. I think the issue would be that they have to have costume departments make Nazi uniforms for the cast… The upside to that is that they could reboot The SOUND OF MUSIC. Disney wanted to remake that decades ago but didn’t want to pay 20th Century Fox for the music

I. Don't. Care. I can't even stand to look at the entire "Superman" trailer because the guy looks so unSupermanish, and really, an AI Superdog? Always, at the end of a successful TV series run, as things get stale - add a baby or a dog or both - but it never works.
