ChitChat is now out for retail! Done a bunch of testing in raid/keys/arena, and it all works. As you can see by this video of the corner of my screen mid-arena, the fading and animation functionality all work mid-instanced combat. If you do encounter any problems, drop them on GitHub or Curseforge.

realized because im hiding the default chat tabs i dont have any way to show whispers or unread chat oops gonna add that then chitchat retail might be ready this weekend secret stuff for retail is fixed? i think? (i just added a bunch more secret handling and just tested it in a raid and it worked)

either way I'm just passing secret stuff along and going "not our problem" so shouldn't get any more big failures like black chat bars, just might look slightly unstyled at times

Retail has been tested in M+ & raid at this point and mostly works fine, but there's some wonkiness with secret messages occasionally disappearing that I need to figure out. Addon itself is inspired by the old Glass addon if anyone knows that.

Thought this would be a bigger pain in the ass but the LFG frame data already included this, it just didn't display it. Some clunkiness in that it only refreshes when you manually refresh, but I'm not adding auto refreshing to this, it's just a basic little hook.

Covenant assets? No problem at all, they're all here. I wonder if it's just all the assets added after they started development that are missing?

Toggle on or off via a /tc or /ticketchecker command, or use the minimap icon. Supports friends only, requests to join (& suggest invites) and lets you set keywords, with exact matching. (Do you want only "invite" or also "invite me") Made this a few months ago during 12.0, but released recently.

Updated Shortwave for WoW Forever! Because I use a template for much of the UI, it even fits in with the new Forever style :D Also, in the process of filtering data, retail should now no longer have songs that aren't actually in the retail version of the game. www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/s...

Updated Shortwave for 12.0, no new features, though all the Midnight sounds are in the database now. First proper patch for the data download script I made too, and it worked like a charm. It downloads the latest listfile from GitHub parses it for the audio data and the IDs we need to play, and ta-da. Not a single thing I need to do except type in the command and press upload. 🏖️😎🍹

This also means that I've made every feature I had in mind for the AddOn when I first published it :D with delays, shuffling & a popup window all finished!

If anyone's Shortwave stopped working after the latest release of Shortwave, I've just released an update that should fix those. Outside of a lot of back-end improvements to the code to make it easier to work with, the update also includes the ability to add delays to tracks!

A keen eye might also spot the stop buttons on the currently playing tracks & the playlist as a whole, as well as a lot of small icon improvements to hopefully increase UI clarity. Hoping to slowly tinker away with more updates, I'll be sure to post any notable ones here.

really glad I did it, wanna do more now lmao made the boss and enemy models myself! actually really happy with them considering it's my first attempt at modelling in like 5 years audio code by diastapvp icons by @mothking97.bsky.social all the code & everything else by me! (or free use assets :3)
