Well, well, well…. An analysis of voter registration records reveals Republican operative Scott Presler had 3 out-of-state voters use his Pennsylvania address to vote in the 2024 election. This is what voter fraud looks like.

My hobby is building miniatures. This is my latest, The Abbey Library book nook. Not the most relaxing build I've done, but I do like the result.

The DHS investigation into Nevada voter fraud has now fallen apart as their initial claim of 16,000 illegal voters has proven to be a 16,000% overestimation - with them admitting to finding ZERO cases of illegal voters

Short answer: no, not really — Jamaica is one of the more difficult Caribbean destinations for gay travelers, and most LGBTQ travel guides recommend looking elsewhere if that's a priority for the trip.

If you're weighing Jamaica against alternatives for personal travel, gay-friendlier Caribbean options generally cited include Puerto Rico, the Dutch side of Sint Maarten, Curaçao, and the Bahamas (with similar caveats but a better track record), plus places like the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

Practically, most guides say the resort bubble is the exception: all-inclusive areas around Negril and Montego Bay are used to foreign LGBTQ guests and are generally fine, but the advice is to stay low-key once outside them

— same-sex couples holding hands or otherwise being visibly affectionate in public draws real risk in a way it wouldn't in, say, most of the rest of the Caribbean. Responsible Travel's LGBT guide is fairly blunt about it, suggesting couples who want to openly celebrate pick a different destination.

The bigger issue is social attitudes rather than the statute itself. A 2023 national survey found 83% of LGBT Jamaicans had experienced violence tied to prejudice, and there's well-documented mob violence, "corrective rape" targeting lesbians, and discrimination in housing and employment.

The U.S. State Department's Jamaica advisory (currently Level 2 – Exercise Increased Caution, updated June 2026) specifically flags these risks for LGBTQ travelers and points people to its Gay and Lesbian Travelers page.

The legal picture: Jamaica still criminalizes sex between men under a colonial-era "buggery" law (up to 10 years imprisonment), and a constitutional "savings clause" has kept it shielded from court challenges despite a 2021 Inter-American Commission on Human Rights ruling urging repeal.

In practice, prosecutions for consensual private conduct are rare — the U.S. State Department notes the law is mostly enforced in cases involving minors — but the law still gets used as leverage for extortion and occasional arbitrary detention.

. . . Isn't that the biggest problem in MAGAworld today? There is no heir who is not contested LOUDLY by all other MAGA-heir-wannabes. Upon Trump's demise, the bloodbath will be epic.

On the other hand, the choice of Hegseth is disasterous for MAGA. He's a terrible speaker. He's sleazy - even by their standards. And he has zero backing by other MAGA elites. But then . . .

I've discovered something that may help me retain my sanity. These little book nook kits are so relaxing. They also stimulate my creativity and my mind, as I have to solve various problems, research solutions, and learn about new things like LED lights and soldering.
