Flicking through Instagram, I was just served a bizarre ad for Facebook, the message of which was “Facebook - it’s full of shit”

Another one! They are actively advertising that their platform is full of absolute bollocks. What gives?

Woke up from a very complicated dream about producing promo material for a new Wes Anderson film starring Sylvester Stallone called “Udon Noodles (The Shot Defines Him)”

My wife posted a picture of us enjoying our anniversary dinner, and our MP liked it so I guess we’re the establishment now.

Why on earth does this BBC piece on Burnham telling an interviewer the UK security services confirmed Russian interference in the Brexit referendum require a response from a pro Brexit pressure group? It's literally our Prime Minister telling us about election security. It's nothing to do with them.

This ‘ukraine bombs data centre and bot traffic on social media disappears’ story is very tempting, but everyone I can find sharing it is exactly the type who shares tempting but fake stories for numbers. Any remotely reliable sources?

Thread. You can’t counter this type of operation until you admit that it exists.

There are a number of things to say about the Prime Minister's public statement that Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

(To clarify, several times tonight on R4 there has been an uncredited newsreader with unusual accent/phrasing)

For reasons, I found myself looking at the Adam Smith Institute website earlier, and who is this shit written for?

We (ok, my wife - i was tech support) screened the People’s Emergency Briefing last night. It’s a great watch and I urge you all to see it.

In which a journalism professor posts an article from an AI slop site which is 6 years old and wholesale stolen from the Guardian with no critical (or self) awareness.

So, Banksy bought a used yacht, repaired it and retrofitted it to serve as a rescue boat to save migrants in the central Mediterranean. The whole project cost the artist $860,000. Since 2020, the boat has saved more than 3,800 people. londondaily.com/banksy-funds...

The only way they would shut down AI is if it became self-aware but started to say things like 'net zero now' and 'stop destroying orangutan habitat'. Do you know how quickly they pull the plug if AI came out as woke 😂

Having a cheeky chablis in La Coupole in Montparnasse and quite aside from it being a beautiful space, it’s really elevated by there being no music on, just the thrum of conversation.

A detail missing from The Times story… the woman who took the photo shared it to a Facebook group called ‘South east patriots’.

The Times has run a story this morning about how ‘polite’ the masked men in Dover were to three white ladies on a train. Propaganda in its clumsiest form.

The media has insisted that it was in the public interest to run endless stories questioning the integrity of Jason Arday. So I await the endless stories about *this* guy.

Is it credible for James Orr to remain an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge?

I find this tweet to be significant beyond the obvious cringe factor. We have built a media environment in which people make statements that display utter ignorance, they never bothered to check the facts underlying their claims - and it sways votes./1

Have been quietly enjoying Ludwig, but the suggestion that the local MP can suspend the police chief has enraged my inner local democracy nerd

Today in unreadable Reach websites, I clicked a link to a Mirror article in the Facebook app. After three seconds it spontaneously opened the Booking dot com app, then when I went back to Facebook not only had the Mirror page crashed but it took the Facebook app with it. Absolute junk all round.

No psychiatrist or psychologist with ethics would assess a person without meeting them. And if they did, their ethics would mean their assessment should stay confidential.

Just spotted my first actual “taking are country back” in the wild. This is in response to the self-acknowledged neo-Nazi group White Vanguard planning a march.
