30% of all US presidents didn’t use their real names to run for office. The VP, Speaker of the House, and Senate Minority Leader don't use their given names either. Who decides what’s in a name for a politician, and when does it matter? NEW from me. makeitmakesensepod.substack.com/p/whats-in-a...

Nevada Secretary Of State Cisco Aguilar on Make It Make Sense this week explaining how DHS and the DOJ got caught lying about noncitizen voters in his state. Full interview out now wherever you get your podcasts.

Blanche told reporters DOJ was not involved in the exact thing Trump said he ordered. The latest breach of the firewall of independence that’s burned for nearly half a century between DOJ and the executive, and it may have finally been extinguished. makeitmakesensepod.substack.com/p/the-presid...

"For a decade, the president’s own investigators have been making the case that American elections are secure, just not on purpose." Widespread voter fraud is the most debunked conspiracy theory in America, thanks to Donald Trump. New from me makeitmakesensepod.substack.com/p/the-most-d...

A White House spokesperson tells me this ad, about Trump, is a PSA about America. “[They're] reminding Americans to love their country and understand what makes it worth defending, at home, at our borders, and abroad. The ad is educational and unapologetically patriotic." 1/

I also asked about how much the ads cost, which department funded them, and how long they would be running, but did not get an answer to any of those questions. When it airs on TV, it says "funded by the U.S. Government" 2/

A WH official insisted these PSAs were not political and implied they did not violate campaign finance laws because Trump is not on the ballot and there is no call to action. They also point to past presidential PSAs. Again, this ad is about Trump. The song repeats "Love me" ffs 3/3

"This is Insane. If you signed up for a free event or even bought some 250th merch, your data was probably harvested by Trump’s campaign." Rep. Jared Huffman said. Dems say Freedom250 was just a front to take Americans' data, on the taxpayer's dime. makeitmakesensepod.substack.com/p/they-threw...

makeitmakesensepod.substack.comThey Threw a Party for America and Kept the Guest ListHouse Democrats say Trump's privately run 250th birthday celebration was built to harvest Americans' data. The paper trail backs them up.

Before the latest court order against USPS's rollout of a deeply flawed election mail system for the 2026 midterms, Whistleblower Aid's David Kligerman joined the Make It Make Sense podcast with @granthermes.bsky.social to discuss what's at stake.

1) it was great talking with @granthermes.bsky.social about 2026 elex threats and prep, you should check it out! 2) re the below, it’s all predictable. The Administration deceives us with lies, tries and will fail to disrupt voting with USPS interference and more. Then deny results they don’t like.

@alexandrachandler.bsky.social and I were just a few days early on this conversation but what she said couldn’t have been more spot on

I spent the last three days tracking down Median Strategies to figure out where this "firm" came from and what they really wanted by releasing fake polling in at least three different elections. First, it appeared out of nowhere. 1/

The research company denies any connection to Median and said the address listed for Median is connected to the neighboring mailbox company. That also appears to check out, at least on paper but there's no way to prove otherwise. 6/

Ultimately, until the next shoe drops, if there is one, we might not know what Median Strategies really wanted. For the polling experts I talked to, that might be worse. In an age of lies, damn lies and statistics, this story's got all three. makeitmakesensepod.substack.com/p/how-to-fak...

makeitmakesensepod.substack.comHow To Fake Polls And Influence PeopleA fake firm sent out fake polls in high-stakes races across the country, duping thousands. Tracking them down might be the least of our issues.

Median's registration lists a phone number tied to an Oregon-based domain privacy company. My calls to that number weren't returned. That company, Digital By Design and Median, however, both have a physical address in North Carolina. 4/

The address is a three-office building off the side of a highway about 45 minutes southwest of Raleigh, that also houses a research and advertising company and a mail forwarding company. 5/

Median's domain was registered on August 10th using private Cloudflare servers. Its registrants' names are masked with a data replacement service. It's not registered in any state or federal database as an official entity. 2/

Median has a similar name to a Hungarian polling firm, Medián. The executive director of the firm says his firm has no US connection to Median, is fully Hungarian-owned, and has no US ties. Federal database searches back up his statement. 3/

I highly recommend reading this. Critical lesson for pollsters and campaigns alike: primary voters are really fucking old. Also, it's been a minute since I worked with the WI voter file, but it had north of 10% unknown ages when I did. That doesn't help.
