Taking a break from haunting the @romancingthevote.com auction for @kitrocha.com book mail!

Do you like autographed books? Amazing quilts? Lace shawls?Getting details about birds/science/New York right in your books? Fidget clickers for all your stimming needs? How about supporting voting rights with Vote Riders and The Southern Coalition for Social Justice?

Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Trans rights are human rights. The SCOTUS ruling is wrong and stupid. We have to keep fighting. Cis folks, this means us. Not because "they're coming for ___ next," but because fighting for our trans siblings is the right thing to do.

I want to edit your book, for democracy! @romancingthevote.com has so many amazing things up for auction, starting tomorrow!

If my exact...let's say eccentricities aren't a good fit for you/your manuscript, you're still in luck. There are so many opportunities for all types of edits, critiques, AMAs, beta reads...

I've started a blog about grammar rules and why you should break them! The first post is about -ly adverbs and how they can be good, actually. www.grayelkedits.com/ly-adverbs/

Fountain pen help! I've just tried using a converter for my pen for the first time. It worked great initially, but then I put the pen down for a while (horizontally) and now it's not writing anymore. Thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? #fountainpen

I cleaned the nib before filling it. The converter has never been used. There's ink in the nib. If I wipe the back or underside of the nib with a tissue, I get ink spots. It's just not flowing to the tip to write.

All of the squares for my Berroco #vintageMKAL25 are done! Now I just have to sew them together. Actually they've been done for more than a month, but this year has had a lot of life things and I have been bad about posting. The big things: Good: I'm changing careers! I'm an editor!

The bad: our beloved dog was diagnosed with cancer and passed over the summer. He was the very bestest boy, and we miss him so much.

I found a large house centipede crawling on the inside of the shower curtain liner this morning, while showering, and got my spouse to come catch it while drying off as fast as finally possible. Him: this is one of the good ones! Me: sure, but that doesn't mean I want it IN THE SHOWER with me!

I recently got back from vacation to Japan, and I'm really excited about the various Japanese translations of books I found! I've now got @annleckie.com's Ancillary Justice, @naominovik.bsky.social's His Majesty's Dragon, and @travisbaldree.bsky.social's Legends & Lattes!

Also Katherine Arden's The Bear and the Nightingale and Diana Wynne Jones's Howl's Moving Castle, which I find delightfully meta
