More insurance stuff: I had a denied claim that I was very much in a not-good mental place about I was gonna have to appeal. Two months being sick about this. Called and they were super confused about things, I think maybe the hospital fixed all of this for me and no one told me about it. Hate it.

They absolutely should. I’ll never stop being aggravated that everyone puts the responsibility on the patient to sort it out. Between the prescriber, the insurance, and the pharmacy, everyone has the authority to fill the prescription EXCEPT the patient.

Like, seems to be good as far as I know, but I hate the whole process. And I don't really know for sure, I just haven't gotten a bill so I guess that's good.

As far as there's anything important going on here this is not the important thing. But how did I not know that Jesse Ventura now has that giant glorious beard?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Jesse Ventura to Piker: "Here's what pisses me off -- I did 2 tours, 17 months. So did my brother. Southeast Asia. That was at the same time Donald Trump was running and hiding like the coward he is. Why didn't he join us in the Vietnam War? I've heard him talk. He said he should be a general!"

I have several of these that are my own failures, but what I always think about is my buddy when I was a kid. He read annihilation and was our GM for dumb games. But he didn't know the word. So to him it was an-hill-iation... So that's how our imagined battlemechs shot discs.

The day that I finally figured out what he was saying and tried to correct him spawned a ridiculous argument. It's one of my favorite childhood dumb fights about things that don't matter.

I don't know what it says about anything, but Looney Tunes being the current AI Slop thing is not really what I expected. Perhaps a little better than I feared, also somehow more intrusively maddening. Leave that alone.

I do not have a great knowledge, in the grand scheme, of Bob Huggins. How things went at the end does kinda fit in here it seems though. I don't know, just gonna ignore things (which takes some ignoring) and wish him the best until someone tells me otherwise.

Idly scrolling the 'list of last words' wiki page as one does on a Wednesday afternoon. And let's just say no...I do not believe you said this on your deathbed you lying Spartan ass. Well presumably other Spartans lying about this.

My lipreading skills are not good but 'Oh what the fuck? Damnit' seems like a good guess. Also...I mean, a little understandable. It's his job not to have to say those words in this situation, but...well once you're there.

I'm playing Horizon Forbidden West again and that documentary game has convinced me that I would need several different types of arrows and a lot of jumping around to kill this beast.

this is so perfect, so pure

My favorite little Kansas State was horrific before Bill Snyder thing is: In the 80s when they were seriously considering dropping football they *sold home games* to Oklahoma a couple of times. Literally an in-conference paid cupcake.

Sickos Committee@sickoscommittee.org

Did you know that Kansas State has defeated Kansas 17 straight times but is still 10 games behind Kansas in the overall series record? Bill Snyder was a miracle worker.

I don't know that anyone here particularly needs to hear this but 'former Right Wing influencer' sure seems like code for you don't need to pay attention to them, at least before a whole lot of attempting to make things good. Even if they are currently saying good things.

I'm not a fan, not really a hater as much as I probably should be. But I find the Colts to be a particularly annoying team this year. At least to try to figure out. They *should* be good, also they are not. At all.

I mean they're vampires, but going by the text only I'm just gonna note the regular ass white guys from Provence who thirsted for human blood here.

One of the more annoying things about ESPN over the last...however many years I don't want to contemplate... Is that I know Stephan A Smith and Skip Bayless's names, and that I think of Shannon Sharpe as anything other than a really good tight end back in the day.

Awful Announcing@awfulannouncing.bsky.social

Skip Bayless is working with Stephen A. Smith again after a decade-long split; maybe he’ll find a way to work with Shannon Sharpe next. awfulannouncing.com/fox/skip-bay...

Huh, weird. Just had a little brownout at 8:20 on a cool and calm Sunday morning. Wonder what happened, not like a whole ton of power use should be stressing things right now.

I'm getting a little tired of drizzle but whew is it otherwise really freaking nice outside. One of those couple/three weeks per year that it's kinda perfect weather around here.

Opened up nextdoor against my best interests about a story with the (completely abandoned) elementary school I went to being sold to the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City. People (who are mostly not in this neighborhood) are going crazy about this. Of course. www.kmbc.com/article/trum...
