On to my third build for #ItaliaGB. This GB has given me the perfect opportunity to build one of these. I have no desire to have Nazi Germany markings on my shelf, so a Stuka has eluded me.

Probably for the first time I looked up reviews and the instructions ahead of possible purchase. I won't be buying that Veltro for #ItaliaGB. It looks amazing, and may be one for later. I do however have a kit in the stash that at the beginning of the year I promised myself would get built.

Following on from MY9ALBUMS Ifigured a playlist would be sensible. Where Spotify only has expanded/deluxe versions (how I hate those) I have deleted the non-original tracks.

London trip...what was it for? A proud brother moment. My sister was invested as a Member of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. Over 30 years of voluntary service and leadership duties of the youth section. Well done Jackie.

5 months on. It would have been Monty's 17th birthday today. These are previous birthday portraits. The youngest one is on his 8th. The shed of beer and plastic is quieter without the presence of "security".

Personal announcement for #ItaliaGB. The aim was to get 4 across the line. On close inspection of the Veltro, it will not be appearing. I really really should read reviews and a bit of design history before throwing cash at things.

The Tauro kit has pretty weird instructions which is bad enough. Reviews are terrible, bad fit, extremely soft plastic etc. Not going to burn time on that (yeh...quitter). There is a bargain to be had on ebay for the Hasegawa kit.

Looked at the instructions on Scalemates. They looked very familiar. It would appear that the Veltro is essentially a Folgore with a different engine. As much as I enjoyed that build, I am not going to repeat in such short order. May still buy it at close of play if the price is still good.

I have changed my mind often about the approach to this tricky scheme. Even after applying the first coat, I am not entirely sure. Anyways.... #ItaliaGB #histscalemodels

Macchi C.202 Folgore in the markings of 363 Squadriglia 150 Gruppo 53 Stormo of the Regia Aeronautica in 1/48 scale. Kit was released by Hasegawa in 1995, and it showed at times. First build done for #ItaliaGB #histscalemodels

This will just be my second Italeri kit, I hope it's in better condition than the first. 2010 v 1998, so should be good. Not entirely comfortable with the compulsory PE, no margin for error.

Any Italian speakers? Google is telling me that both Folgore and Saetta mean Lightning. Is this a differentiation between types of lighting, ie sheet, bolt, ball?
