This kit is sadly showing its age. A bit of cleaning up seam lines and added bodywork needed sprue goo and a fair bit of sanding. The wing mirrors provided are ugly lumps of plastic so won't be used. They took away from the curves too much too. #histscalemodels

I’m certainly no expert but in tackling WW1 models, I have decided the easiest way to rig them is with EZ line and Gaspstch metal hooks. It requires micro drill bits and a drill press so I found this cheap Etsy unit that holds my small Dremel. #histscalemodels, #scalemodels, #wingnutwings

The Vallejo colour matches to (US) Federal Standard often leaves room for improvement. Bought their FS35237 & FS36375 matches and both will need noticeable adjustment (I miss the Model Master line) 😕

#HistScaleModels This one has been on the bench since the first of the year. Lots of starts, stops and issues but finally across the finish line. Represents an original Mitsubishi aircraft that was modified at Nakajima to be a seaplane. Solomon Islands late 1942/early 1943.

Here's a token update on the DBMK Hornet, with the vertical fin blended into the fuselage. The gaps were filled with my customary CA/talc mix, and most of the excess was removed using CA debonder, rather than sanding. Now to finish off the nacelles! #scalemodels #histscalemodels #dbmk #hornet

I’m 96% complete on the 1/72 scale Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat. I’ve removed carrier film from the Eduard decals. I’ve never used these, and am impressed. The markings look painted! Added weathering on the underside, using a light spray of rust and dark gray panel liner. #histscalemodels #scalemodels
