Olivia Chow has received the highest number of votes of any Mayoral Candidate in Toronto history. Prior to this the high was Mel Lastman with 483,277 in 2000. She has recieved 523,641 and counting. More votes than *any* elected rep at *every* level of government in Canada has *ever* gotten.

Watched a video my opponent made of our game from R4 Arco. Decent confidence boost to see that he did not seem to understand the position or the ideas. This guy, 2250, is looking at my play and thinking I must be completely in prep even though I'm just vibing and trying to play on understanding.

having eaten at the cheesecake factory and ordered the mac and cheese burger i might push back on the "minus the war crimes" part

Tangential to the Cheesecake Factory talk is that their workers are genuinely elite tier 1 operators in the food service industry. I have a friend who manages bars and restaurants and he will instantly hire anyone with Cheesecake Factory experience. They are like the Marines minus the war crimes

why are multiple fascists bragging about being able to identify giraffes

In the report where Microsoft discloses its ever-worsening environmental harms, it tries to sort of plead away consequences by claiming that using different, irrelevant and unrelated forms of AI morally neutralise the damage they're doing with ever-expanding slop factories

Won with a hammer today. Up to 1.5/2 personally. Team lost 4-2 today, after losing 4.5-1.5 round 1. The losses are obviously undesirable but also not out of line with the pairings.

messed up my game but my opponent was bad at time management and I saved it. then anish giri kidnapped my opponent when we were analyzing the game. i swear revenge

i liked the idea of anthony bowens, who broke up the acclaimed because he wanted to be a serious singles star, getting madder and madder because max caster was getting popular being a dumbshit who got his ass beat. that was a fun character idea.

Well, a draw against a GM where I maybe could've played for more. My thought about the endgame at the end was that it was probably a draw and I couldn't play on risk free so I accepted his offer.

Engine gives white an advantage here but I dunno how real it is. I thought that I could never win the pawn endgame because black could always get some kind of e4-f5, and with my king having to play defence my bishop could never cash the a/b pawns on its own.

did something morally questionable (accepted a draw on move 10 against a higher rated opponent when I had white). It my defence, I am tired and the line is like 75% draw in classical, and I have zero familiarity so I probably wasn't gonna generate a win if he was going to force a draw.

thinking more about hombre al agua and specifically the significance of camilo being a lifeguard. someone who recognizes the power of water (and maybe that the water will always, ultimately win.) he recognizes that he cannot win over the water, only protect people from it.
