It was such a treat to be able to bring so many sharp minds together for this workshop — I have many news ideas and so much to think about!

Warwick Anderson@wombatscholar.bsky.social

Finishing a fascinating workshop on uncharismatic animals at Augsburg today organised by the charismatic @harrycroft.bsky.social and including equally charismatic @sighmonger.bsky.social Now understand charisma as a process or as schlepper dragging some organisms from one social world to another

Wow, isn't this the best lineup you've ever seen?! Don't be jealous! The programme for our workshop, "Hideous, Invasive, Forgotten: Theorising Uncharismatic Species in Environmental History", is now live! Get in touch if you'd like to take part, I'll be very happy to share participation details

It shouldn’t be a surprise that a Nolan film would fail the bechdel test, but it strikes me that across the full three hours no two characters have a single conversation about something other than a man

My thoughts on the recent and delightful Canadian History of the Environment Summer School! Thanks for having me ☺️

I was very lucky to spend a night at the Schneefernerhaus, a geology and climate research station atop Germany's tallest mountain. We learnt about the important work being carried out there, and awoke to a cold and fairy-floss coloured moonset c.2650 metres above sea level
