โ€œIf you were in charge of Star Trek, what would you do?โ€ Remake the show from basic methods and philosophy to strip it of nostalgia and canon. No reuse of characters, ships, designs. Get scifi authors to write scripts and allow fan scripts, assuming things do that well. 20 ep seasons, every year.

One of the first bits of art I posted to Twitter back in 2022 after making this account there. The Enterprise-D being so large, I reasoned that it might take a dangerously long time for everyone to reach the lifeboats. This concept shows tall lifeboats spanning multiple decks. [1/2]

And finally, at long last... Bird of Prey modelling is complete*! Last element to add was the rear ramp, roughly as seen at the end of The Search for Spock. As this was not part of the model, some minor changes were needed. Originally had it with 2 sections, but added a third to reduce the angle.

So now the Klingon Bird of Prey's landing gear is fully complete. Working out the mechanism for the hatches turned out to be a lot harder than I expected! Very little room left to work with! Forward ramp also finished. This was included on the studio model, but never seen on screen. #StarTrek ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––

Study after study shows that it's remarkably cheap and easy to solve the problems of homelessness and poverty with low-barrier supportive housing and universal basic income, but our own fear that someone, somewhere will get something they didn't "earn" keeps us looking for other (punitive) options.
