So I played Paralives for a few hours upon early access release. I have som thoughts. Here’s what I liked: - The height sliders being (mostly) functional, especially with short paras interacting with tall paras.

I almost forgot to mention this as well, a couple months back I saw vampire fangs for costumes in a video before release; and me being a vampire nerd I looked everywhere for them in character creation but sadly I couldn’t find them, and it bummed me out. :/

Again I understand that the game is early access, but I don’t think it was worth $40 (and my husband brought it for me as a gift). $20-$25 would’ve been a fairer price for a game that’s pretty bare bones right now, or honestly mostly cartilage.

I’m hopeful that paralives will get better as updates and patches come up but there’s a lot of room for improvement and it shows. Until there’s substantial updates that actually want me to engage in gameplay, I’m more than likely gonna use the game to take screenshots of my OCs.

Here’s what I didn’t like: - ⁠My para man’s body sticking out the wall as he did push-ups, the boundaries need work - How lifeless the townsfolk seem - Live mode is really lackluster - ⁠The lack of romantic interactions (which I’m sure they’ll be more coming) but you’d figure there’d be more than 5

- ⁠Character creation was pretty good in my opinion, even with the limited options they had for hair, clothing, and makeup. Layered makeup and clothing was sick. - ⁠I throughly enjoyed there was a lot of customization when it came to body shape as somebody who’s chubby myself.

- The photo mode is awesome, and the fact you can move your para around by simply dragging them is so nice. You can also select different poses too. - the art style is incredibly pretty and very pleasing to the eye.

this is why there’s been mass revolt and opposition to data centers being built in communities. it is genuinely a health hazard to live this close to something emitting this much sound. these need to stop being built
