The cruelty is the point.

Brandon Friedman@brandonfriedman.bsky.social

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position. Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

The 50501 Movement has planned protests at all 50 state capitols and the U.S. Capitol on Presidents’ Day at noon. While mainstream media isn’t covering it, many YouTubers have stepped up to provide coverage.

You know, the Barbie movie's critique of patriarchy as infantile and insecure males trying to validate themselves by wielding power they're ill-equipped to handle is sure looking spot-on these days.

On Star Trek Discovery several years back, a character name dropped and praised Elon Musk. But then--I shit you not--it turned out that character was from the alternate dimension where everyone is evil. We were warned.

For me, it’s not so much whether or not companies have DEI policies but whether or not they’re changing their policies in a cowardly attempt to curry favor with these fascists.

To quote the great Bill Paxton from Aliens: “Why don’t we put her in charge!”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@aoc.bsky.social

Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare. Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.” We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

I said it the other day, but I'll say it again at every fresh outrage: Are you ready? Because I am. Whenever you all are ready, I'll join you in the streets. Massive demonstrations across the country. That's the only way we end this. Every day until he's gone.

I put down Yanagihara’s A Little Life because of the vile thing that happened half way through, but people on TikTok are telling me to keep going. Thoughts? Someone give me license to DNF this, please.

This was completely premeditated--I left out this show from my list of contenders on purpose knowing some wise soul would respond this way so I could then make this exact video.
