Oops. Wrong connecting train. It’s not too bad (both go to hamburg), but the one I’m on will pass through my stop, so I’ll have to go back from central station. And fingers crossed the conductor won’t charge me extra for that last (non-)stop 🫣

Ended the fair a little earlier than initially planned, because a) I’m really tired, and b) some trains due to leave after 6 pm seem to have severe delays already, so hurrying a bit and getting onto the 17:20 seemed like a good idea.

Another fire in the small city where my mum lives, this time even in her street (a stack of firewood next to a house burned down). There had been several fires in early to mid-summer, then nothing, so we all had hoped it was over, apparently not. Really hope they catch whoever is responsible soon.

Was away for a few days, forgot to close my kitchen window. it’s now only 16°C in my flat. Got night storage heaters in my flat, so no way to warm up until tomorrow morning. Guess I’ll just spend some time at the cinema this afternoon and tonight

Damaged gas pipe in my district, meaning at the moment I can’t get home, as all train services have been cancelled. Off to the cinema then, hopefully in 2 hours they’ll have shut everything off and cleared the station to reopen. If not… another movie? 🤷‍♀️

Started checking yesterday's pictures, and to my surprise, one of those "camera can't focus automatically because it's way too dark, so let me just snap a few manually, hoping for the best" pictures from the kiwi house actually turned out reasonably well, even after having to denoise it heavily.

Booked The Odyssey one last time for Friday. Will be my 3rd viewing, 70mm analogue film this time.

That was a fun day. So many fascinating and weird #birds at Weltvogelpark Walsrode. The kiwi was a bit tough to spot, as most of the time it kept hidden at the back of its enclosure. Was way darker in there than it looks here.

For 3 years, my public transport ticket has updated automatically in my wallet. Not this month. Which is fun when you run into a control, then need 10 minutes to find the stupid app and log in to update manually. At least now I remember where to find it again.

Wasn’t going to do this this week, but set an alarm after all. On my way to Weltvogelpark Walsrode (bird park). School holidays haven’t started yet, and it’s a weekday, so I’m hoping for a rather quiet visit there.
