Coming this week to the apps: a barcode scanner!

Back at work after 6 weeks of combined parental leave and vacation (shout out to socialism).

We just shipped a big update to Record Club on iOS and Android. A redesigned home screen, sign in with Apple or Google, iOS widgets, faster startup, and a lot more. The update is now available on the App Store or Google Play.

We've started a Discord for @record.club. A great place to convince me to implement your favorite feature, or yell at me for my bad opinions on your favorite artist. Join us: record.club/discord

Did not expect a Verge post when I woke up today…

Record Club is trying to be Letterboxd for music nerds

Coming soon: import/export.

Driving to Hamburg next week (to see Geese). Any recommendations? It's been a while since I was there.

Listening to the new Sturgill

Here’s a thing literally no one has asked for but that I’ve wanted for ages.

This is awful. Rest in peace to a real pioneer.

Coming soon: logging + repeat listen indicator.

Just a reminder that you can rate as many albums as you want on record.club for the low price of absolutely nothing

Got three job rejections in one day so: I am asking for help finding a new full-stack web development job. My website/portfolio is available at casey.kolderup.org. I'm a great team member and I've worked at small startups and medium-sized companies with success working across teams and disciplines.

Some smaller-ish features that were just released: * I got sick of seeing Zach Hill’s junk in my feed, so I decided to develop a new explicit cover art feature. Can be turned on/off in settings. * Friends' reviews are now promoted on a release page * A new /versions tab is available for releases

Today on the blog I'm talking about my latest project for @record.club, a set of illustrations for their Year in Review based on some of the most popular albums on the platform during 2025 ✨ www.ericafustero.com/2026-01-reco... #blogpost #illustration #design #music

This took me a couple of weeks to make work in Safari, and now it actually works best in Safari. Go figure.

Today’s morning run.

The @record.club 2025 Year in Review mini-site drops on January 7. Pretty excited about this one.

Thanks to our Supporters I've now been able to double our server capacity. 🫶 This will increase and stabilize performance, especially for search.

Seeing Model/Actriz in Copenhagen tonight. Hope that guy from Copenhagen shows up. youtu.be/4u1354K6gW8?...

Makes me a bit sad that one of the best albums of the decade is ineligible for this year's Year in Review www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mfI...

Pretty stacked anniversary week

Big day here at Record Club HQ (my living room)

Let’s see what’s popping on record dot club this morning. Oh…

Happy Geese day. Honk.

This new dark mode has made it a lot more obvious that we're in dire need of some new, simplified branding. 🤔

While we await Apple's approval of the new dark mode, I whipped up this anniversary section and discovered that Broadcast's "Tender Buttons" turns 20 years old today. A perfect record.

This week I'm seeing both Greg Freeman and Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band at two of the tiniest venues in Copenhagen. I'm gonna be all Americana'd out by the end of the week.

I only ever use dark mode on YouTube, but this is really growing on me ngl.
