Canadian arts and culture folks: the federal government has launched a (methodologically flawed) survey on "the Cultural Sector's readiness for Artificial Intelligence". If you're ready to resist or refuse genAI, here's your chance to let them know. pch.research-recherche.ca/f/s.aspx?lan...

I feel the same. We see these horribly misleading ads every time we watch YouTube. Utterly shameful when public education and health care desperately needs the money. #ONpoli

My wife said “I am so tired of this, it is so corrupt and wasteful and stupid.” Is there nothing that can be done to stop Doug Ford from wasting all our money on blatant political ads?

Thanks to the roughly 60 people who took part in Toronto's solidarity ride for Alex Pretti, as well as to the over 100 other cities around the world who also hosted rides. Here's a video I recorded as the ride passed by Queen's Park. #BikeTO #BikeSky #TOpoli #VikingBiking #StopICE

#2 on this list is Zurich, Switzerland, a city we travelled to this past summer. Can confirm that Zurich is very bike friendly!

100% this! I'm going to start calling those two-wheeled electric vehicles with throttles that don't require pedalling "e-motos" too. Hopefully we can shift the narrative => e-bikes are NOT a problem in Toronto's bike lanes, e-motos are the problem. #BikeTO #bikesky

Lloyd Alter@lloydalter.bsky.social

@peopleforbikes.bsky.social looks at the problem of "e-motos" that are confused with e-bikes. There is confusion everywhere in the e-bike world; it's time to clarify and simplify the rules and get the too-big too-fast two-wheeled things out of the bike lanes.

lloydalter.substack.comWhen it comes to e-bikes, we need "clear, simple, straightforward rules that a nine-year-old can explain."People for Bikes has recommendations for dealing with the confusion between "e-motos" and e-bikes. I have some too.
