HUGE congratulations to the citizens of Toronto for re-electing Olivia Chow and sending Brad Bradford packing tonight with a 54% to 41% margin! Now let's get back to standing up to Doug Ford! #TOpoli #ONpoli #VoteChow toronto.citynews.ca/2026/10/26/o...

toronto.citynews.caOlivia Chow batters Bradford on way to second term as Toronto mayorTorontonians voted to give Olivia Chow a second mandate as mayor on Monday night, ending Brad Bradford's improbable comeback story.

In addition to the win in York South-Weston, progressives picked up Beaches-East York thanks to @beynate.bsky.social, but unfortunately saw a setback in Scarborough North where Jamaal Myers lost Shaun Chen. Finally, Curran Stikuts made Chris Moise a one-term wonder in Toronto Centre. #TOpoli

Hey #BikeTO! #CriticalMass will be back THIS FRIDAY! Meet 6 PM for 6:30 PM departure with the location to be determined. And don't forget to vote before polls close at 8 PM tonight. #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero

It’s election eve, and a new poll from Liaison Strategies has boosted Olivia Chow’s chances to beat Brad Bradford in City Hall Watcher’s election projection. Still close! See all the polls and data on our election site. It will also host live results tomorrow night. projection.cityhallwatcher.com

The protected bike lanes along Bloor Street West between Islington and Royal York are gone, but we want to ensure folks in Etobicoke-Lakeshore can safely bike to the polls on Monday. Cycle Toronto will be leading a complimentary bike bus on Election Day through this new gap in our cycling network.

Our list of Brad Bradford's endorsements has been updated to include National Post founder Conrad Black and a former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Nice day to go for a canvass for Olivia Chow & Alejandra Bravo. The Junction Triangle is a lot friendlier to progressives than Rosedale, but be sure to go vote in two days. #TOpoli #VoteChow

“The opportunity to stand up to the bully has passed. Too much has been given away with too few consequences.” Exactly right. Doug Ford is weirdly obsessed with certain things in the physical City Of Toronto, his ideas are all bad, and Chow has put up no real resistance. (Bradford is a quisling.)

Olivia Chow could've run a campaign focused on standing up to Queen's Park — she didn't, and now we have to live with the potential consequences, writes senior editor John Lorinc. @johnlorinc.bsky.social #TOpoli spacing.ca/toronto/2026...

If you require a consensus from existing residents of a neighbourhood to build new housing for other people, you’re not going to build a lot of new housing for other people.

Matt Elliott@graphicmatt.com

Next Q: "How do you balance adding density with the concerns of residents who don't want a 30-storey tower butted up against their house?" Chow says it's important to work to get a "consensus" in the neighbourhood. She says she won't use strong mayor power to "override this local democracy."

Not surprised Bradford pulled a #FlipFlopford with regard to AI data centres. He will say anything to get elected which is why Toronto must #ReElectChow to #StopBradford in four days. #TOpoli

Matt Elliott@graphicmatt.com

On data centres, Bradford says he's supported a "pause" to figure out enviro issues. Chow says she wants a moratorium — "not just a pause" — and knocks Bradford for indicating support for data centres in earlier debates.

Just because you ride a lot doesn’t mean you understand the needs of the city’s cyclists — especially children, women, and immigrants. The ravines are great. For daytime recreational rides.

Matt Elliott@graphicmatt.com

"Look, nobody rides more bikes than I do. I rode 10,000 kilometres last year," brags Bradford. He says he's "the only candidate that has a plan to build new cycling infrastructure — we're just going to do it in our ravine network."

The third Mainstreet poll was done in Scarborough - Rouge Park which shows Shawn Allen leading Neethan Shan 38% to 29% followed by Zakir Patel at 13%; marking a reversal from the September 2025 by-election. #TOpoli #ScarbTO

I know no one gives a F about safety or the law when the province is involved - but those workers & police should be wearing PPE for this work. Did they cover the catchbasins? Did they warn residents to close windows? The city would never get away with this. www.gazzolapaving.com/files/employ...

TPS is going to have one hell of a WSIAT file for respiratory issues. At least we slowed them down tonight. It ain’t over till it’s over. And it‘s never over.

Per the Toronto Star's vote compass, bike lanes have sadly become the most polarizing issue of the upcoming election happening four days from now. Most of Chow's supporters support them while most of Bradford's supporters do not. #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero www.thestar.com/news/gta/thi...

thestar.comThis could be the most polarizing issue in Toronto’s election. Is there any room for common ground?Vote Compass analyzed 23,321 Torontonians’ survey responses to find why bike lanes are the most divisive issue this civic election.

Rumour has it the last of the lane markings on Bloor from Clissold to Royal York will be removed this evening. Please join tonight's protest - 7 PM at Tom Riley Park - if you can and bring PPE such as N95's and earplugs. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero

A full 50% of Canadians will live in a province banning/limiting/removing bike lanes when Alberta introduces its promised legislation soon. It just feels like a much smaller country when the number of places where you can have nice things like bike lanes and housing keeps shrinking.
