Incredible how much the media has spent talking about hate speech laws and yet none of the thousands of articles on Hanson mention she recently was found by a federal court of breaching hate speech laws.

Replying to @osmanfaruqi.bsky.social

Even when journalists reference Hanson’s past comments on Muslims, they reach back to 2016. Why not just mention the case from 2025, that is currently in front of the High Court? Surely the entire media industry isn’t unaware of the case? So what’s the reason?

Malcolm Turnbull says the problems he had while PM weren’t with Labor, but “with people like Angus Taylor & Tony Abbott, & their friends in the media” “They had control over Dutton, they burnt it to the ground.”🔥 “They’ve now got their man in again with Angus Taylor” #auspol

As it appears enough of the Liberals will sufficiently succumb to madness to endorse him as their next hapless leader, here's a piece I wrote way back in 2021 about the many and varied and still unexplained controversies that have swirled around Angus Taylor. theshot.net.au/news/opinion...

Sewell played this incredibly well and the decision to unmask and keep his white supremacist talking points within a margin of error from that of the Murdoch rags effectively sponsoring the marches mainstreams the nsn among the casually racist to a disturbing extent.

It would be a massive mistake for progressive folk to convince themselves the March for Australia was a bust, or can safely be ridiculed. It was an alarming escalation of far-right action, and we need to reckon with it. More thoughts (un-paywalled) here: www.lamestream.com.au/how-mainstre...

It’s good to remind us of wonderful gestures like this amongst humanity when we appear to be surrounded by such ignorance, negativity, aggression and not to mention ethnic cleansing. This is a welcome relief to be reminded of the best of humanity. ❤️

Ethnic cleansing with the support of many governments around the world. I feel powerless to do anything in response to this horror for the Gazan people. Where is the empathy?

The New York Times@nytimes.com

The Israeli military said on Saturday that it had begun mobilizing its forces in preparation to advance farther into Gaza, seize more land and displace more civilians, adding that it was already conducting intense airstrikes ahead of the planned offensive.
