BREAKING Brazil's defeated presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro refuses to recognize President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's victory on Sunday.
"It is impossible to acknowledge the result," he said from Brasilia, adding that "I am going to request the annulment of these elections"
NEW: Blanche claims DOJ's Alaska lawsuit doesn't seek to block certification of the state's election results. The actual complaint says it does.
His attempt to reframe the lawsuit is a bid to push back against how it's been correctly interpreted: a dangerous effort to subvert the midterms.
A right-wing think tank argues Congress can — and should — refuse to seat newly elected members in some cases.
The rationale is bunk. But it could convince a few Republicans who are just MAGA-crazy enough to try: https://demdock.com/4ifgdPa

Right-wing billionaires now own the Washington Post, the LA Times, CNN, CBS News, virtually every local TV station, virtually every news radio station, most local newspapers, X, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok. (Did I miss any?)
They own almost the entire information environment.

I see CBS News' Jan Crawford has deleted her inappropriate post. To be clear, IF a reporter from NBC or ABC posted something similar but flipped the script in support of AES, Bari Weiss via her *free press* would already be on the 10th story condemning such partisan behavior by a journalist.
Are you kidding me with this? CBS News reporter Jan Crawford is on social media congratulating a Christian White Nationalist for his staged confrontation with AES. Jan should have done some actual news reporting on the event before spouting off. But this is the Bari Weiss CBS so I guess it tracks.
Agree w Tom. I’ll stress it’s utterly pathetic of Trump to think of Russia as a peer when it is vastly inferior. What’s worse is that this overestimation is music to Putin’s ears, prevents him from recognizing that russia has lost in Ukraine, and inspires him to dream about even bigger conquests.
Humiliating and dangerous: Trump has now finally just made America an ally of the Kremlin and is aiding Putin in his war against an American friend and partner. Shameful betrayal of a US friend, and pathetic submission to a US enemy.

A 56-year-old Mexican man held at a federal immigration facility in Laredo was found dead in his cell Saturday morning. His family says the center would not give him medicine for diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart condition. He is the 7th person to die in ICE custody in Texas this year.
But DOJ says any direct conversations with Trump would be protected by constitutional privileges, so it can’t disclose that to the court.
DOJ also argues that redesigning the golf course isn’t subject to review under the Administrative Procedure Act, comparing it to mowing the lawn. 3/3
An American president would tell Putin to fuck off. An American president would tell Putin to get the fuck out of Ukraine. An American president would stand with Ukraine. Trump however is not an American president. He works for Putin. So he’ll do what Putin tells him to do.👇

The Trump White House official app is fraught with trackers.
The White House app covertly collects excessive user data and shares it with third-party trackers while sidestepping federal security rules.
For example, the app includes scripts to monitor a user's location several times per minute.
