More than 500 U.S. citizens have been detained by ICE, according to ProPublica. 70% of ICE detainees have no criminal conviction. Trumpโ€™s promise to go after the โ€œworst of the worstโ€ was always a lie. It was always a pretext to terrorize Black and brown communities. Remember this.

Breaking News: Goodreads now let's you rate in fractional stars. That means I can go back and give this pile of absolute trash a lower rating #booksky

Realized I never left my review for Bandon Sandersons new novel "The Fires of December" This was mildly disappointing for a Cosmere Novel. Overall, it felt like one of the weakest additions to the Cosmere. I enjoyed Decembers character a lot, but the story overall was meh. 3.5/5โญ๏ธ #booksky #cosmere

Do you ever finish a book with really good reviews and think "those reviews are a load of BS"? We that is not this book. Holy shit. "The Women" by Kristin Hannah is absolutely phenominal. This is probably the best book I've read this year. 5/5โญ๏ธ #booksky

Today I officially wrapped up my month and a half date with the Bloodsworn Trilogy by John Gwyne My overall review (in a short thread) #booksky Book 1 was a great intro to a trilogy. I felt like the forshadowing was there but just subtle enough. I liked the characters and felt compelled to read

SPOILERS AHEAD It's extremely interesting how Elvar ends up being Elvar Chainbreaker not because its necessarily the right thing, but for completely selfish reasons. It feels like her reasoning is almost skimmed over. #booksky

Overall, I think this is a really solid 4/5 โญ๏ธ series. I felt a little let down due to how hyped up this was, and found book 3 a bit predictable and convenient, but i still enjoyed the series. The setting is great, and the soft magic system is a nice change up from current modern fantasy. #booksky

The heros won and the villains lost. The expendable characters died and most of our heros made it out alive. I understand what the Author went through during this time in his life and I commend him for finishing the series when I dont think I would have.

The 2 characters that really stood out to me were Elvar and Biorr. I wish the Author would have delved more into them. Biorr for all reasonable people is on the right side of oppression with the wrong leader. SPOILERS AHEAD Elvar ends up being the leader that is needed to free the oppressed

When I finished book 1, I was eager to start book 2, and it didn't disappoint. These were solid 4-4.5 stars. Book 3, to me, felt a little too convenient and predictable. Besides 1 or 2 major events, it felt like everybody ended up where they needed to be for no good reason. #booksky

Ive been AFK here for the past several months. Life has been insane. 1. I moved recently. If youve ever sold and bought a house simultaneously, you know how hectic that is 2. My wife and I are expecting. Adding that to moving and we've been older overwhelmed Im looking forward to being back

Book #42 of 2026 Blankets by Craig Thompson I like to sneak a graphic novel in every couple of months. I really enjoyed this one. A great story of young love and how it doesn't always work. My biggest complaint is that it wasnt 100 pages longer 4.5/5 โญ๏ธ #booksky

Ive been AFK due to moving, but this one needs a review I havent been able to escape "Theo of Golden". Entire tables at Barnes & Noble. Constantly on Tiktok Is it good? Sure, but there is foreshadowing and then there's hammering the "twist" into readers for 350 pages 3.5/5 #booksky

Adding to this, the relentlessness of hammering this incredibly obvious twist into the head of readers simply made me bored waiting for it to happen. I overall enjoyed the book, maybe even a 4.5โญ๏ธ book if the author were more subtle and expected more out of the reader.

Poor Belgian players getting hurt in the worst country to get hurt in. At least they can pop across the boarder from Seattle and not go bankrupt

My favorite part about listening to new Olivia Rodrigo songs is figuring out what song each of her new songs sound like. Like, the new album is great, but every single song minus 2 sound eerily similar to other songs.

Book # 29(?) Of 2026 is finished. The Tapestry of Fate was a phenominal sequel to Amina Al-Sirafi. Though there were a couple points i felt it dragged a bit too much i finished the book with by saying "what the actual fuck Shannon." I need book 3 4.5โญ๏ธ #booksky

Finished up Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher. As a T. Kingfisher lover, this was good. Not mind blowing, but solidly decent. I personally think 30 or so pages could've been shaved off in the first half of the book. 4/5โญ๏ธ #booksky
