RE Gaiden is suddenly a lot easier once you know that the game tells you when a zombie is worth killing or not. I never noticed that the ! wasn't showing up for most zombies and it actually means one of the ones nearby has an item.

I had been completely ignoring FF Resonance, what do you mean it has the damn stagger bar too!? Why is Square so obsessed with that stupid system? It was never fun.

Yeah basically EA ran them into the ground with bad decisions, then once TOR was gone they had the grounds to just disintegrate them based on some spreadsheets due to bad numbers that management caused. If Bioware had been allowed to just make Dragon Age / Mass Effects as they liked they'd be here.

Oh hell yeah, get ready to pay money to play games for up to 50 hours in the worst way imaginable. That ad-free part probably implies that there will be ad filled tiers later.

Xbox Cloud Gaming introductory launch pricing revealed: -10hrs for $3.99 -25hrs for $7.99 -50hrs for $11.99 news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/1...

In a move of pure genius Xbox is going to double tap itself for literally no reason. None of these companies have any kind of plan for what's going to happen if they price out their primary audience.

Losing out on 5 points because I popped a White Tiger Hair and immediately fucked up the attack because it made the judgement ring harder.

I will say, playing Shadow Hearts with retroachievements has caused me to do way more than I normally would. I'm just mashing interact on everything for hidden items and actually using items on the off chance I manage to get some achievements.

But some of the bosses have been too hard to warrant resetting for an achievement I missed. Even the easy one I screwed up, because I got greedy, took me way too many attempts to care about resetting over it.

As stupid as it sounds, I've come to the realization that I don't actually like Metroidvanias, I just like Metroid and Castlevania.

Belmont's Curse got me thinking, why did Metroidvanias veer off into super difficult combat and platforming? Neither of it's namesakes were particularly difficult, so why?

And yes, the nes Castlevania games were hard, but the easy mode for Castlevania 1 shows that it's purely from enemy positioning. Removing the knockback makes that game incredibly easy.

I feel like I've been too negative lately so time for some positivity. I started playing Shadow Hearts and it's been pretty awesome.

I don't typically like turn based games with timing based mechanics, but the judgement ring has been the best version of that I've seen yet.

Youtube has started recommending me a bunch of people streaming Fatal Frame 2, but all of them have labeled the game wrong and it's actually remake.

This is a stupid thing to complain about, but it bothers me since I've been clickbaited into thinking it's the original multiple times now.

Why is every pro-ai asshole such a smug prick about it? Large amount of them openly admit their completely helpless and can't even do basic tasks on their own, but still act super smug about it.

I already think the tech is being implemented in all the worst ways possible, but the most insufferable people imaginable keep pushing it and making it easier to hate.
