I saw Coyote Vs Acme last night and I really liked it! It was quite charming, and I laughed out loud at some points. Iโ€™m not a huge fan of the use of cell shaded 3D as a stand in for 2D. (There were definitely places where the animation was weak.) But it was enough fun to make up for that.

My major complaint is there was not enough Road Runner. I know, I know, itโ€™s Coyoteโ€™s movie. But Road Runner was always one of my favorites and I wish they were in the movie more.

Iโ€™m supposed to go dove hunting on Wednesday, so I asked my dad to teach me how to shoot a gun. I brought clay pigeons to practice but I couldnโ€™t even hit the stationary target. ;_; Iโ€™m gonna be the most embarrassing hunter on the field.

I am trying to make a flow chart for answering common questions at work, but Iโ€™ve got too much text to reasonably print out. Iโ€™m wondering if thereโ€™s an easy way to make a click-through choose-your-own-adventure style program using work IT approved sourcesโ€ฆ

My other music opinion for the morning: I like the Alien Ant Farm cover of Smooth Criminal better than the original. Itโ€™s gotta have that weird beatbox section AAF do or I just donโ€™t care about it.

Music opinion: the Taylor Swift โ€œI Knew It I Knew Youโ€ song has grown on me. I didnโ€™t really care for it at first but I think itโ€™s pretty charming now. My main complaint is that she & the radio stations try to claim itโ€™s โ€œcountry musicโ€ and I just donโ€™t hear it.

I guess โ€œcountry musicโ€ is such a nebulous genre at this point. Still feels weird to me to pass that obviously pop song as country music. (Especially when youโ€™ve got actual country singers like Ella Langly on the charts at the same time.)

So, mixed feelings on this. At my old job we did something similar - buying old philatelic books, slicing the spines to run them through a scanner so we could search/share them easier. We probably cut well over 100 books. We didnโ€™t shred them, though. When we were done we spiral-bound them.

No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

Iโ€™m generally not super precious about physical books - the information inside is the most important part and I do think itโ€™s better to get copies in the hands of more people than to keep books perfect (in most cases). However, if youโ€™re not making those copies accessible, whatโ€™s the point?

I really hate the โ€œI donโ€™t owe anyone anythingโ€ mentality because we actually owe each other and this planet a lot. You donโ€™t have to be selfless all the time or burn yourself out but you should be kind and helpful and compassionate to the best of your ability. We need to care about each other more

Got a fun trial-by-fire this sunday- I'm gonna open a new godot project and stream it for a bunch of folks who will instruct me on every part of the game- genre, assets, effects, everything. I'm sure it will result in a very sensible and level-headed product.

Meet Little Dipper (white flame-point), Leo (tabby) and Cassiopeia (tux). The first two are boys, about 6-7 weeks old. The other one is a girl about a month older. They were all taken in on Saturday, and have been getting meds and eye drops since.

I work in a call center and every call is recorded, including voicemails left after our office closes. Iโ€™ve taken to saving the files of short interesting sounds left as voicemails. Everything from unintelligible mumbles to clicks and buzzes to swear words. Just my personal collection of sounds.

My personal collection is mostly short random sounds I find neat. However, sometimes we get a longer message thatโ€™s wild enough to be saved and shared around the office. Today that message is a two minute expletive-laden rant about the Knicks game that Iโ€™m almost certain was a butt-dial.

Howdy! My coworkers are all either in training or out suddenly sick so Iโ€™m in charge of ALL the calls in the office today. Already got my first โ€œIโ€™ve been on hold forโ€ฆโ€ Yeah, buddy, you and everyone else Iโ€™m doing my best here

My opinion is: itโ€™s a very satisfying ending to the series. That said, itโ€™s very obviously a series finale, not a โ€œmovieโ€ and I personally donโ€™t think I gained anything from seeing it in a theater other than knowing I did a bit to support indie animation.

Highly recommend this. Itโ€™s a very cute picross game. I play it on the switch - itโ€™s cozy to curl up with.
