Another long-standing visual issue, that exists for very stupid reasons fixed. New sections of a level will now can now use the current environment map instead of being stuck on the one from the first section.

Experimenting with fixing one of my biggest personal issues with this game, the billboarded particles clipping...

hacked together a quick program to put all of the unique permutations of each set object from '06 into a test stage to help with accumulating MarathonRecomp's PSO cache, had a bit of fun along the way

Missed us? We've been working on a number of significant improvements like: - The ability to resize at runtime! - Fixed issues at very small resolutions with pre-rendered cutscenes. - Fixed some bugs with the enhanced blur shader so it doesn't blur what it shouldn't blur.

I still see a lot of confusion about what decompilation, recompilation and ports are and what level of effort is involved in each type of project. It's important that people understand the difference, as recompilation took a drastically different meaning that when it was originally introduced.

Just a warning for everyone, since Video Game Slopterica keeps being the most irresponsible YouTube Channel to exist these days. The Banjo-Tooie Recompilation is NOT associated with us. It is entirely AI-generated. Both Zelda: Recompiled and Banjo: Recompiled have very clear No AI stances.

since starting the ADHD meds, I've played and finished Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, started on Majora's Mask, then decided to finish Breath of the Wild instead idk what's happening, but I never would've gotten through these games so quickly before

next part of my PC to replace is the entire case then, because I somehow fucked up the HD Audio connector and now it sounds more like SD Audio, ahhh it never ends

I'm very glad I decided to dig out my old power supply to use in the meantime it took three weeks for my RMA to be processed instead of the expected 1-2 days due to a processing error lol anyway I have a working 850W power supply again, thanks Corsair

using my old 450W power supply as a substitute for now not gonna do anything that'll push it over the coming days whilst I wait for my RMA from Corsair

I'm always fearing bug reports from speedrunners because their reproduction steps are always like "oh it's simple, just do this frame perfect sequence of button inputs and quickly pull out this item and do this with it and *there's* your crash" and I'm just sitting here like

me: trying not to worry about my heart on ADHD meds YouTube: so uhhh here's this guy having a cardiac arrest on this TV drama thing lol, wanna watch it?

I seem to be rather talented at rushing shit out the door without fully testing it first and having it bite me in the arse years later

finished Deltarune Chapter 5, I imagine everyone else is probably uhhh taking their time with it, so I won't say much, but it was very good

I ended up finding the egg room completely by accident in this chapter, only later realising I'd done the exact steps to get to it and didn't follow through with it, oops

seriously though that episode really shattered all my expectations, and I'm very glad it did, turned out much better than the direction I thought it was going in my head

I audibly gasped at 38:20 at the cinema, genuinely wasn't expecting that LOL I can't remember the last time a show got a reaction out of me like that, let alone at the cinema

she lives!

here's hoping nothing got fried when I tried turning it on again, thinking it was a fault unrelated to the power supply it made a horrific screeching noise before I quickly turned it off

only casualty seems to be two dead SATA ports on the motherboard, which is unfortunate but I'll take that over having to replace something like the RAM in this economy

I should've figured something was up even four years ago, when my old motherboard started randomly resetting on its own after I installed a higher end CPU doubly so, when the funny quirk with one of my hard drives randomly not being detected also transferred over to my new motherboard

my PC's power supply decided 4 years of service was long enough and died today thankfully it's apparently under a 10 year warranty, but of course it had to happen on a weekend, so it's gonna be a long few days

I hate how power supply issues seem to lead to the most random faults, making it the least obvious thing that could be failing only once it finally gave up did these things make sense when recontextualised as being power related
