Ever since Covid, all telephone support services are receiving 'higher than expected call volumes today'. Bullshit. You cut down on staff and haven't replaced them.

Having switched to Tidal from Spotify, I am enjoying their 197X! Songs of the year playlists. Often they seem to have 12" versions. The long version of Float On by The Floaters is even more visible than the single edit. Cancer! And my name is Larrrrrry. tidal.com/track/253579...

Oxfordshire County Council is leaving X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly known as Twitter. It says it is “deeply concerned about the rise in online hate speech and abuse targeting women and girls… we must make clear and principled choices about how we communicate”.

Imo “Nigel Farage doesn’t believe in Covid vaccines” would tank his polling if more people knew about it (though you could say that for a number of his policies)

Farage: "I believe in vaccinations when they're vaccinations. I don't think what happened with Covid were vaccinations. You have to keep having them every 6 months." Conspiratorial nonsense. Some vaccinations like Covid shots require multiple/seasonal doses because immunity fades & viruses change.

The Israeli government has adopted the double-strike tactic used by Bashar al-Assad in Syria: target a hospital or heavily populated area, then hit it again when rescue workers, reporters and medics turn up, to kill or maim them too. Hideous war crimes piled one upon another.

FUN FACT: Since 2019, Nigel Farage's Reform has taken more than £2.3 MILLION from oil and gas interests - making up an astonishing 92% of the party's donations. Reform are NOT for ordinary people. They're in the pockets of the big oil lobby.

I'd like an apology from @marycreagh.bsky.social please. She claimed my column on the Planning and Infrastructure Bill was "deeply misleading". She failed to explain why. But it was an accurate explanation of the problems with the Bill. Ministers should not make unsubstantiated and untrue claims.

Absolutely scorching letter about the Planning and Infrastructure Bill and the government's attempts to mislead us about its impacts. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Chiltern Railways. 9.11 from Oxford Parkway to Marylebone. Standing passengers filling the aisles of 2 carriages, when we are towing behind us THREE completely empty carriages. Mad and dangerous. #chilternrailways.
