The fun of programming computers is in the programming itself. You can program using ready to go libraries or even let chatGPT come up with code. It might work, but you did not really solve the programming issues and miss out on all the fun programming can be. (...)

All of my inputs nicely return to single digit entries within a few iterations. Except for 1. 5687836. Even if I throw out every single digit, and every power of 2 digit long numbers, the list expands beyond what my computer allows.

I posted to my desultory blog the transcript of a talk I gave in 2009 inside Google, mostly because someone recently asked me to, feeling the message needs reinforcing. commandcenter.blogspot.com/2023/12/simp...

Technologies that allow us to do more with less (read: are efficient uses of resources) are the shit, my jam, and cool as hell. Technologies which seemingly need more and more resources (energy, compute cores, human labor) to do questionable things at best are whack and you shouldn't like them.

Our new Meta #programming #language supports #Atari #8bit #computers. The nicely abstracted Atari #operating #system, advanced for its time, allows Meta to have a similar feature set there as on modern computers. #MetaLang #dev #code #RetroCoding #OS #Atari8Bit #Atari400 #Atari400Mini #The400Mini

Our new Meta #programming #language supports Atari's new hardware. It can be seen as a successor to #Atari Logo and will be the highest-level language available for #8bit. With careful programming, it can also be the fastest. #MetaLang #LogoLang #dev #code #RetroCoding #Atari400 #Atari400Mini
