Can’t wait Alan!

We're one month & one day away from the release of my Rod Serling bio. Some notes: 1)The book remains available for preorder anywhere Americans buy their books. (International rights won't be sorted until sometime after it's published here, I'm afraid.) www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/alan-...

A Gathering of the Angels has been postponed again. If you've ever attended the UK Twin Peaks Fest, you know what I'm referring to. What should we do now, especially for those who have already booked plane tickets? Shall we meet somewhere, nevertheless? #TwinPeaks #GatheringOfTheAngels

Maybe "AI" agents makes this process easier, but the fundamentals seem roughly the same, but with the added cost of burning tokens for parts of the process that should be easily reproducible, and executable on commodity hardware.

Spent this week building and deploying #Ansible to manage #Windows #AD infrastructure. Never occurred to me that it was possible, but here we are—and it works like a charm. Funny, innit? #WindowsServer #ActiveDirectory #DevOps #Automation #MicrosoftLovesAnsible #MicrosoftLovesLinux

I’m thrilled to get up to the Snoqualmie Valley for Real Twin Peaks 2026, where on Friday, February 20, I’ll be signing copies of my book THE DREAMER’S PATH, which unpacks David Lynch’s robust acting career in its entirety. If you’re in town, stop by North Bend Trading Company at 1pm! bit.ly/3NpYWqA

Dust off that #TwinPeaks bookshelf. Just finished re-reading this extraordinary book by @scottmeslow.bsky.social With a foreword by @harleypeyton.bsky.social, it tells the BTS journey of all three seasons and #FireWalkWithMe. As a hardcore / old school fan, even I gasped a handful of times.

Oh no! The Martha P. Nochimson Twin Peaks interview on The Red Room Podcast seems to be gone from Pocket Casts. Does anyone know if it’s archived anywhere? #TwinPeaks #DavidLynch #Podcasts #TheRedRoomPodcast

Wow, almost everything seems to be US-centric. It’s surprising how people seem to have forgotten that life mainly happens in their local village or neighborhood, rather than somewhere far away.

It didn’t take long to find the answer. Disney+ got me to resubscribe after barely a month and a half — all it took was Mad Men. A clever reminder that the best way to keep us subscribed forever is simply to wait us out. #MadMen #DisneyPlus #Streaming #DigitalSubscriptions

Finally some visible improvement. Well done, bsky team! 👍🏻

v1.112 is live! We’re launching Find Friends, a contact import feature that helps you find people you know on Bluesky. Try it! In the mobile app, go to Settings → Find friends from contacts. Read how we took a more secure approach to this than other platforms: bsky.social/about/blog/1...

Gemini in Google Sheets doesn’t speak Croatian. It barely speaks British English. Still manually correcting “prioritize” → “prioritise” like it’s 1999. Global AI, local problems. #GoogleSheets #Gemini #AI #Croatian #BritishEnglish #LanguageMatters #MultilingualAI #LLM #FutureOfWork #GoogleAI

Finished Middlemarch. Now watching the BBC adaptation. An ideal novel for one Bluesky post, innit? 😉 Honestly, I think the book read me more than I read it. Fascinating (and slightly hilarious) how England hasn’t changed that much underneath. #Middlemarch #GeorgeEliot #Goodreads #FinishedReading

Slanders, sir; for the satirical rogue says here that old men have grey beards, that their faces are wrinkled, their eyes purging thick amber and plum-tree gum, and that they have a plentiful lack of wit, together with most weak hams;

Oh Fred Vincy... 🎩🐎 Just reached Chapter 24 and Fred’s £80 horse venture has gone spectacularly wrong. Loving how #Middlemarch refuses to let anyone coast by. So layered, so precise. Curious to hear: What quiet details should I be watching for as the story deepens? #GeorgeEliot #CurrentlyReading

This is what happens when you delete a slot machine dressed up as a dating app. My screen time dropped to below half an hour per day. Yay!

It's almost as if the media and right wing parties are manufacturing consent. The most important issue to people will always be material conditions.

Let’s be honest — dating apps aren’t broken; they’re doing exactly what they were built for: endless swiping, fleeting hookups, growing subscriptions. Tech bros won’t fix this — we’ll have to. Or shall we keep letting the slot machine bring us happiness? 😉 #datingapps #datingappssux #digitaldetox

(4/5) Storytelling really is key. While Australian First Nations sustained oral traditions for millennia, Croatians—with historically low literacy rates—became champions of collective amnesia. In Croatia history is still treated as a dry handbook of facts, not as a living narrative.

(5/5) To wrap up: fantastic discussion—would love to see you back on Novara Media, or even on some of my favourite podcasts like ppf+, in the future. 🙂

(2/5) As a bilingual Croatian/Brit, studying classical and foreign languages has both broadened my outlook. But in my Croatian case, it had an ironic twist—it left me a bit alienated from Croatians, and now I sometimes feel like a foreigner in both countries, lol 😆

(3/5) I grew up in Yugoslavia under communism, so I know democracy isn’t the only model. What strikes me is how little Yugoslav history gets studied in Oxbridge circles. Beyond Rory Yeomans, few engage with it—even though its collapse shows how complex internal dynamics can undo a state.
