Flock so toxic even the Trib Editorial Board is veering away. Ironic considering our Dem governor, legislature, and AG continue to funnel millions into more ALPRs every year.

From the Editorial Board: The problems here go beyond a few bad actors. Flock as a whole needs rethinking with an eye to better safeguards.

Hey I'm not actually done talking about Dolly Parton. 🧵 Specifically I want to talk about her album 9 to 5 and Odd Jobs, released in 1980 (not the soundtrack to the film 9 to 5, that's a different thing). The whole album is about work, with most of the songs focused on a different type of worker.

The Chicago Teachers Union voted unanimously to BOYCOTT STARBUCKS. Teachers know how it feels to be unsupported, and when working people stand together, we raise ALL of us up. Thank you to the CTU for listening to union baristas, as well as everyone who is pledging to boycott Starbucks!

It was amazing to see so many of you at the kick-off event of our first Independent Labor Club convention! Your solidarity and pizza purchases helped members from across the country gather to hammer out the vision, goals, and organizing practices of the ILC (more on that to come soon!) ❤️

TODAY! See you there, friends! luma.com/tc972eyv

Why does it feel so weird to talk about exercise and left politics? Want to get beyond the dichotomy of overly optimistic lifting for the rev and overly pessimistic rejection of all exercise as social domination?

I've been ranting to anyone I get the opportunity to do so about the necessity for left groups to do social events as an intentional part of their organizing for years at this point and y'all are doing that exactly right from what I can see.
