People are really walking around acting like your assigned sex at birth is anyone's business, let alone a determinant of what human rights you deserve. Fuck off out of here. Biological determinism and gender essentialism are just phrenology for genitals and their adherents can get in the sea.

Adults voting on whether a subset of children get to be treated like human beings, what a cool fucking system we've got here.

Elizabeth Holmes is not the face of motherhood for incarcerated women. Jazmin Valentine wailed in agony for 6 hours in labor while staff and nurses LAUGHED at her. She had to resort to sliding her amniotic sac under her cell door to prove she was in labor.

My point here is that real art not only derives inspiration from existing works, it inspires, helps create, and connects other lives and art. This one episode of a tv show linked multiple great artists, and drew together careers spanning from the birth of film to the present day. Fuck AI art.

AI can crunch numbers, analyze data, and do other computer shit in ways that can genuinely help the world, and instead of that people want to sell you on the idea that it can love your children and make art better than you can and friends, they are lying to you.

I Sing the Body Electric starred Josephine Hutchinson as the robot grandmother. She got her start on stage and in silents before successfully making the transition to talkies. Her acting career stretched across 7 decades, surviving a scandal when the press learned of her female partner in the 1920s.

but, because she is indestructible and functionally immortal, she won't ever be taken from her like her mother was. It's poignant and I won't spoil the ending. Anyway my point is Marielle would probably be better off with the fictional robot, too bad she's stuck with a real shitty mom and shitty AI

While we're on the topic, the episode was written by legendary sci fi author Ray Bradbury. He later adapted it to a short story, which served as the title piece for his 1969 story collection. The episode was narrated by the show's creator, Rod Serling. The title is taken from a poem by Walt Whitman.

The most fearful bigots on the planet are trying to stoke a moral panic about something you could not pay the average person to care two shits about.

a friend in Dallas got this gem of a political text today. The PAC, Texans for Common Sense PAC, is funded by Texans United for a Conservative Majority PAC, of which a GOP mega donor named Tim Dunn, who you may have heard of, is a major funder of.

They did this to children in our community. THEY DID THIS TO CHILDREN. "A 10-year-old girl who needed to use the bathroom was allegedly made to relieve herself in the middle of the crowded track. A 15-year-old boy’s restraints were tightened to the point of drawing blood as officers mocked him."

“Even El Chapo was treated with more dignity," said Idaho-born Anabel Romero. Along with her kids, Romero was one of hundreds detained in a immigration raid at a Wilder horse race last year. Despite allegations of cartel involvement, related charges have not come to light. buff.ly/12TtKOy

Been carrying heightened frustration and seeing others that seem to be responding to the world from places of frustration as well. In moments like these, when we feel the urge to respond in unhelpful ways, sometimes it's good to slow down, step back, and check in with ourselves and each other.

Berger, the historian, said that what makes the project exciting is that it centers on being a defendant. “But it’s also a tragic commentary on where we’re at, with a large swath of people and politics under attack right now,” he said. “We’re all defendants.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

The human mind is not equipped to handle knowing what all the dumbest people in the world think about all the most horrible events, and yet here we are, on social media. Log off before your brain makes a sound like a steam whistle and abandons your skull for a more hospitable environment.

Reached for comment, the Bacchae said "ACAB" before tearing the investigating officers to pieces with their bare hands.

Your media diet does not need to adhere to any external standard of moral purity but also if you're engaging in Harry Potter shit I personally think that sucks, and you shouldn't be surprised if people make the logical inference that you condone murderous bigotry.

A reminder that the “trans lobby” is just trans people going about their lives, and the “fight” being referred to is JK Rowling using her money, power and influence to endorse policy that is killing trans people. I’m amazed she could move to type a new essay with the layers of blood on her hands.
