I remember during covid, when things were really scary and no one knew yet how things would go, Dolly put on her PJs, turned on her camera and read bedtime stories for all the kids and their families who were quarantined at home. She was such a light in this world. Rest in peace Dolly 😭

The other thing I want to say about Dolly is that she lived by her faith. She took the teachings of Jesus to heart, cared for others, gave generously, and genuinely loved people. Her faith was always used as an inclusive thing, never as a weapon to exclude or harm. ❤️

It's important to understand the distinction between plot and story. I put it like this: Plot is what happens, story is why you care about what happens. And story is always explored through characters. If all you do is get a summary of the plot you've missed the entire point of the book.
