We should replace achievement systems in video games with grade systems. Making immoral choices? That's an F. You do the right choice with the trolley problem? That's an A.

Nice question for a weird observation: why am I suddenly seeing videos about random japanese dudes getting really hyped about ICA Maxi?

Last chance to get in on the playtest!

If you wish to playtest Bibidi Bibidi! in its entirety before it launches (soon), this is your last chance! The final world is now in the game, and we're looking for quality feedback on the climax. store.steampowered.c... #wizards #deckbuilder #roguelike #bibidi #deckbuilding #indiegame

My game, Bonkhope, for @play.date Season 3 released yesterday! It’s a turn-based combat roguelike with gravity. Thank you Panic for having me return and thank you to everyone who played already and said nice stuff about it!

I draw everything by hand, always, I will never use AI for anything. But sometimes I get lazy and I leave a mistake like this. Now I worry that people will think all assets in the game are generated because I can't be arsed to correct it.

Is it normal for an F3 read/write on a 512 gb SD-card to take 11 weeks? I thought it would be done in an hour or so but now it's like 3 hours in and I'm still at less than 1% completion, so I'm starting to take these 11 weeks seriously...

Some news! Turning a page and opening a new one 🌱 This summer, I left Nerial 🥲 Thanks to the whole team for all the cool projects, and kindness 🙏 ✨~ So here I am, available again as a freelancer in art direction and game art, 2D/3D ~✨ You can check my work at www.dziff.com and my dms are open ~

this is not a problem in any way what-so-ever, but whenever I export a PSD from Procreate I get a disabled layer with this specific green color set to 50% opacity. WHY?

Never thought I'd get to see one of my illustrations on a magazine cover!

I've spent most of this week on drawing this one background. I think what takes a lot of time in 2D, you can do very quickly in 3D and vice versa. 3D model this path: <1h Draw this path: >9h Draw a character: <1h 3D model a character: ~8h

My pitch for a game that is heavily inspired by dreams: do very confusing things that are hard to describe in words, then wake up and immediately forget what you dreamt

Could someone please hack these AI-developer companies and just do ctrl+A, DELETE on everything? Sounds like that could prolong human civilisation a couple years at this point, thanks

I find wrangling with chaos way more appealing than butting my head against a difficult, controlled challenge. To me getting past a crazy, bouncing shopkeeper in Spelunky is way more interesting than dying to the same Dark Souls boss over and over.

Tetris feels chaotic when it goes wrong, that's why it's so pleasant to play well or to fix up the mistakes I made. Dr Mario is similar but since the goal of each level is to clear viruses and they are pre-placed it feels less like genuine chaos.

Release-hype or goty-hype, most hype really kind of ruins my experience with games. I couldn't enjoy Outer Wilds and I fell off Silksong quite quickly. Maybe I would have felt the same regardless, but especially in the case of Outer Wilds I feel too much pressure to get this emotional experience

This made me realize I don’t struggle very much with imposter syndrome, but at the same I don’t really consider myself to have any particular strengths in art. Except maybe that even when I have limited skills/knowledge in something I can often come up with some fun/silly/smart solution to a problem

Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome. I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at. No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at Is anyone brave eniough? 👀

In Surmount, if the character ended up lying on the ground: instead of making a variety of standing up variations depending on the ground’s or character’s angle, I had the idea that we just curl the character into a ball and then have them pop out of that animation when they get to an upright angle.

I made a (live action) short film in art school. We needed a close up of a bird because it was about a bird watcher. So I built an obviously fake bird using a broomstick and three nails and attached one fishing line to it to make it move. It made the film more memorable, people liked that shot

I think the simplest example in drawing is perspective, I mostly don’t do it ’right.’ I wing it, make it somewhat orthographic and let it be a bit wonky. It becomes part of my style. I don’t really care

i miss when all my favorite artists were super active on tumblr, now nobody really seems to ’belong’ anywhere and i dunno how to keep up with them when i also try to be less on social media (which drowns them out so much)

going through old art and found this one. i haven’t drawn much in my normal art style this past year. excited to get back to it soon when projects clear up
