I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Damn it:

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

I fully understand that Shit Happens and that anything with millions of moving parts isn’t going to work perfectly all the time, but I’m kind of annoyed that I paid extra for faster shipping of a package that has been stuck in fucking Evansville for six days and I’m just SOL about that money.

I’m trying to wrap my head around not only being such a shit parent that you need a slopbot to generate something nice about your kid, you’re such a shit parent that you *TELL PEOPLE YOU DID IT*, not realizing that any person with a remotely functioning soul would react with horror and disgust.

“Empathetic, creative and an animal lover” are three things that describe nearly every ten-year-old girl that I have ever met. I shouldn’t be surprised that the slopbot spit out some slop, but it would still have been lazy as hell even if someone who had met her kid had written it.

Am I reading this right? This monster needed an AI to give her three things that made HER OWN DAUGHTER special?

Maybe Billionaires Think Different “Her daughter Marielle was turning 10, and Marielle’s teacher wanted three bullet points summarizing what made her special.” So Marissa Mayer asked Dazzle, her personal agent.

Republicans want to police what’s in your pants while Trump fights to keep Epstein records under wraps. Apparently, your private parts are everybody’s business, but the Epstein files aren’t. Had enough of this hypocrisy? Take that anger to the ballot box. 🗳️ #BlueWaveIn10Days

I would like to petition for “butt naked” to be added to the canon.

Merriam-Webster@merriam-webster.com

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: -It’s ‘sleight of hand’ -It’s ‘bated breath’ -It’s ‘lo and behold’ -It's 'buck naked' -It’s ‘brass tacks’ -It’s ‘free rein’ -It’s ‘toe the line'

Musk, as a naturalized citizen, is not eligible for the Presidency, so (again, pretending laws matter) he is also ineligible to be VP, even before we confront the extraordinary unlikeliness of him making it through a likely Democrat controlled House and Senate.

Slightly longer answer, assuming laws matter: first, JD Vance would have to die, resign or be impeached. If that happens, a vacancy in the Vice Presidency can be filled by a nomination by the President and a majority vote in both houses of Congress.

With all of the recent Goodreads updates (yay take stars! Quarter stars!) I still think they need to add a note space where you can say where you got a book recommendation from so I know which friend to text if I loved it or more importantly if I hated it lol

I'm imagining the Monorail episode of The Simpsons, but unfathomably shittier.

Oh, you weren't aware Hell Gate now makes mini-docs? Well, we do, and here's one about how Wisconsin residents fought back against a data center pitched by former Mayor Eric Adams. Hell Gate's Max Rivlin-Nadler reports:
