The dying 9 volt battery in the water detector started chirping sometime in the wee hours and woke me around 4am. Had a productive morning, but man, it is not easy to find a good (safe) gf breakfast on the peninsula before 10am. Remember the gf food spot by Pete's in the mall? I miss that spot.

Felt like I used the force when I stuck my palm out at a driver making a right, because they stopped and I got to cross. Drivers, YOU ARE COVERED FROM THE WEATHER. Pedestrians aren't. Give us a break!

Where do we make complaints about Bird scooters and bikes? So many piled on the corner of Chebucto/Harvard a person using a wheelchair or stroller would have a hard time passing by.

Drivers are now crossing the solid yellow line on Lady Hammond and driving in the oncoming lane because they wanna make a left at Commission. If traffic enforcement was here, we'd have tickets issued. Instead these people will continue to drive dangerously 🙃

It would be great if media (radio especially) stopped saying, "oh well, get used to the wait in traffic" and started advocating for active transportation, transit, and using a mix of all modes (including their precious cars) 🤷‍♀️

To anyone in traffic or affected by the traffic: write your MLA, MP and anyone else who has the power to LET WORKERS WORK FROM HOME (if they are able and so many of us are).

Nothing about UBI discourages work. It's a floor. It increases people's ability to choose what they do. It reduces survival stress. It enables people to spend more time with others. All of this increases well-being. All of this is what people born rich are born with. Where are the concerns for them?

What if the car dealerships left Kempt/Commercial/Windsor area and THAT'S where a stadium goes? (I know this isn't currently an option but wouldn't it be great to not have so many dealerships on the peninsula?)

If you're gonna drive a car, bring patience. Yes, cars can go fast but that doesn't mean that drivers should creep into intersections when pedestrians are actively crossing. So, I slowed waaaaaay down while crossing Bilby when a driver did that to me today!
