This is wrong on so many levels. The Supreme Court is showing us how out of touch they are with these issues.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect. This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus. www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docke...

I hope everyone is happy with the tariffs. It still amazes me that some still don't understand they are a tax on the American people, not the host country.

A tumultuous three months has led the IMF to revise its outlook for the global economy. Trump's trade war will hurt Mexicans and Americans the most.

That is not good. Trump is doing such a terrible job on the economy. It was expected, and people voted for him anyway.

ECONOMY IN SHAMBLES U.S. job cuts hit 275,240 in March 2025, the highest since the pandemic peak in 2020, surpassing 2001 & 2008 recessions. Layoffs surge as federal cuts, led by DOGE, echo Covid-era losses. It's the third highest monthly total on record.

What happened to making us great.

ECONOMY IN FREE FALL 📉 The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's GDPNow model now estimates real GDP growth for Q1 2025 in the United States to be -3.7% — plunging from its previous estimate of -2.8% on March 28.

I agree. The democrats don't have time to wait around and let everything fail. People can see the issue, and they should take advantage of the situation that Trump gave the.

"The problem with a delayed response is that the more power leaders with authoritarian tendencies accumulate, the harder it is to mount an effective resistance. The opposition is thus more likely to succeed if it acts early..." www.foreignaffairs.com/united-state...

I think this is likely going to happen. Red states depend heavily on federal dollars. In some states, the federal government employees many of them.

Mark Cuban@mcuban.bsky.social

I think there is going to be a Red Rural Recession and soon if all the cuts continue as is All the firings, cancelling of grants and contracts with companies , the closing of offices, disproportionately impact small towns, cities and states. Their finances will be turned upside

I don't like how they are trying to blame Biden for their own mistakes. The finger pointing at Biden is getting rather played out.

New in PN: All the laws flouted during SignalGate "There’s no excuse they can come up with that will be believable, bc the truth is obvious — they recklessly defied numerous laws by discussing war plans in a Signal group. And once they got caught, they made things even worse by incessantly lying."

Stagflation or a possible recession are both likely. Trump's tariffs are a horrible decision that will only make things worse.

Sean Brodrick@seanbrodrick.bsky.social

Bank of America economists now believe “modest stagflation” is the most likely outcome for the US this year, and that the combination of low growth and elevated prices will likely keep future Fed rate cuts on hold -- Aditya Bhave, a senior U.S. economist and managing director at BofA 1/2 #EconSky

Propaganda news Fox really does know to spin the truth.

Blackburn: "The Democrats oppose saving taxpayer money and what DOGE is doing. They are deciding to light up the sky in community after community with fire bombings, shootings into showrooms, and destroying property of individuals. We're hearing these stories from all across the country."

This is getting concerning and only adding to the recession fears.

Data from Cox Automotive show that repossessions surged last year to most since 2009 … in 2024, roughly 1.73 million vehicles were seized, up 16% from 2023 and up 43% from 2022 #EconSky

Elderly people better take note. They are trying to break the system and discredit it. And when it fails, they can claim it didn't work to begin with. And once you lose faith in the system, it becomes easier to dismantle.

Trump is trying to get universities to break the law. It is very concerning that republican are targeting free speech on campuses across the country.

New in PN: Trump moves to destroy Columbia University "It’s another corrupt quid pro quo like the one behind Trump’s 'perfect phone call' to Zelenskyy. Here, Columbia only gets federal funding if it agrees to violate the constitutional rights of both faculty and students on Trump's behalf."

I guess there are no rate cuts this year. I wouldn't be surprised if interest rates are increased due to Trump's terrible economic policies.

Sean Brodrick@seanbrodrick.bsky.social

18 of 19 FOMC members see upside inflation risks. The risk weighted core pce diffusion index (number of members see upside minus those who see downside, divided by total) is even more skewed toward upside than June 2022 (peak inflation) #inflation #EconSky

I'm still surprise that our veterans vote republican. Most of the benefits they receive are thanks to the democrats. Honestly, I'm not sure why veterans voted for Trump when he came after McCain. And to support Trump when he dodged the draft twice is crazy.

Elon Musk called a decorated hero in Mark Kelly a war criminal for visiting Ukraine. Spare me the outrage over Mark Kelly selling his Tesla.

More indicators that we may be headed for a recession. All Trump needed to do was do nothing, and he could have taken credit for Bidens Economy. Instead, he decided to push us into a recession.

Pam doesn't know what she is talking about. Trump doesn't have the authority to control the budget. That's congress power of the purse. We aren't a single branch of government.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Bernie Sanders: "I think this is a prelude not only to cutting benefits, but to privatizing Social Security ... why do you lie so much about Social Security? Why do you make it look like it's a broken system? The reason is to get people to lose faith in the system so you can give it over to Wall St"

I wonder how true this is for Russia. Russia has become a war time economy, and most of the skilled people have been sent to serve in the war. Russia is going to be negatively impacted both ways when it comes to the economy and skilled labor.

businessinsider.comRussia is on pace to run out of financial reserves by this fall, which would cripple war efforts, economist saysRussia has spent most of its National Wealth Fund in the last few years, with liquid funds potentially being depleted in 2025, one economist says.
