the sustained anxiety of being prepped for a surgery at 8am and having no idea whether the surgery will happen today so you're NBM indefinitely and getting IV fluids (do not mistake this for a criticism of the individuals, they are doing what they can)

(i've been given pain relief just waiting for it to hit) my pain right this second is the closest to friday night as it has been since then. what this tells me is that My Ovary Knows What's Coming you started this motherfucker but i'm going to finish it (by consenting to surgery)

being up at 4:30 in the hospital for reasons i'm not going to get into but i'm not in an Excruciating amount of pain despite the fact i have to keep getting up and walking around (which exacerbates it) maybe i will actually be able to go home tomorrow after my ovary scan so here's hoping

mmm scan tomorrow morning. then we make decisions from there. today's gyno is fairly confident that the scan is largely a "prepare to prevent this in the future" scan which is encouraging at least. ow my fucking everything in my lower right quadrant

been in whanganui hospital for two nights now i think and literally my only complaint is that they're not allowed to hire more nurses. all of the nurses that have had to deal with me so far have been extremely lovely and absolutely horrendously overworked.

i also haven't been refused pain medication except for one time the nurse and i agreed together to wait because i was suddenly dizzy and didn't want the heavier stuff to make that worse but i still had hours to wait on ibuprofen and paracetamol. which is a nice change.

almost all of my experiences at whanganui hospital (certainly all of my experiences as a patient) have been very positive. wait no there was one dickhead doctor about my gyno stuff but that was like 5 years ago and he's NOT the guy that did my hysto

actually bedside manner has been really fucking good, especially for my issue being barely visible physically (ruptured ovarian cyst). i've had a lot of medical experience (as have others) where if you don't Look Sick then you clearly aren't sick but i've not been treated like that now. blessed.

it's not often pain wakes me up, i rated the pain that woke me at about a 7 and i do not have a low pain tolerance. but the norflex seems to have eased it as long as i don't lie down (back or side, doesn't matter) but obvs if it gets Worse i will. start trying to doctor lmao [hand gestures]

i'm so fucking sick of having a mortal body. think i pulled something in my side super bad and i have to work the entirety of labour weekend lmao. please. g-d. please just hurt while i'm at home and keep me busy enough not to notice it

i was a LITTLE concerned about appendicitis but if it was then a muscle relaxant wouldn't have eased any of the pain (versus a pull or a cramp, which would make sense to ease with a muscle relaxant). the healthline lady is also fairly comfortable saying it's Probably Not That

i have a drs appt on wednesday at least. healthline lady's best guess was possibly a UTI but since i have no trouble pissing it's unlikely. not impossible, but unlikely lmao. i DO feel like i need to pee constantly but that's not a UTI that's just one of the lasting effects of my hysto lmao

"izzie, why has your subcommittee created cafeteria, laundromats, and children's dormitories despite your narrow focus?" sex is gender and it is everywhere, and we must rip it out root and stem from the earth in which it grows: the labour that defines the class relation

you have no idea what i have planned for when i become the chair of the subcommittee for the industrial provision of sex and gender abolition under the people's commissariat of health and education

This post isn’t making a point about voting, but people with pundit-brain can’t approach any idea w/o equating it to voting, and so they respond by demanding assurances about voting—to which I say those who offer no assurances will receive no assurances. Feel a fraction of the anxiety you cause.

If you would try to win by abandoning trans people (or any targeted group) you can save this “we need to win” talk; there is no “we.” I am about solidarity, and you have chosen anti-solidarity. You are not any “we” I recognize. You are the enemy I’m trying to defeat. Beating you is how my “we” wins.
