I watched Secret of Nimh the other day and I haven't seen it since I was very young. Genuinely a fantastic movie. So it inspired me to make some OC based Secret of Nimh doodles with Edith and Edwards (my webcomics villain character) #doodle

I feel like a lot of comic artists will just draw the person talking, the room they’re in, what the’yre doing, the general mood of the character, without thinking too much about anything else but even if you were filming a movie things like staging and emotion would be important for engagement

I very rarely post development or concept stuff for my comic work, but there's parts in Arc 3 where I'll have Cath go on trips while she listens to music (less so by the time the arc starts) so I needed to make imagery that surrounds it, so had a go at that, both good and bad

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

The hardest part of making a webcomic is the writing It's a series of problem solving and presentation that acts as the frame work for the art, so if your scaffolding is bad, your entire architecture is going to crumble My advice is make sure the writing is good before touching the art
