My new normal social media feed. Still probably ranting about clock management & game theory. Ban “take the points.” Hopeful bsky overtakes Twitter.

I also can’t prove this, but I legitimately think PFF is using AI for its grading. Plus, for how few people work there now + how quickly these grades are being turned out for NFL, FBS and FCS, there’s no way they can grade every player for every game. It’s legitimately impossible

I’m fully convinced that PFF is worthless now since they lost so many of its graders since its corporate acquisition this past offseason. Just littered with errors (and I think false assumptions rather than just pure raw grading).

I’m surprised Minnesota’s wasn’t a little bit lower since Iowa was better in basically every meaningful category. It was mainly the turnovers that flipped it. Regardless, Iowa was due for a 1 possession loss

One other note - there was legitimate sharp money on Iowa this week at the sportsbooks. One sharp publicly even noted that Hecklinski is the better option at QB going into the Washington game, and Iowa got bumped up in the market when that change was announced on Tuesday. So much for that

I cannot understand for the life of me what KF is thinking when it comes to QBs. That is an insane overreaction to 1.5 quarters when you spent the entire bye week figuring out the QB situation

Ferentz said he did not heavily consider going back to Hecklinski after going to Brown in the second quarter.

The head coach of 2021 Nebraska said this game had the weirdest ending he's ever seen. The amount of credibility he has to say that is immense

I think Heck will be graded better than Hank by PFF tomorrow, but this is a nightmare scenario for Iowa Heck must feel like he didn't get a full chance like Hank had (and I wouldn't blame him for thinking portal once the season is over)

Fwiw, points vs. P4 competition: Hank 16 vs Iowa State 20 at Michigan 6 vs Ohio State (3 quarters) 7 at Minnesota (2.5 quarters) Heck 7 points vs Ohio State (1 drive) 41 at Washington 3 points at Minnesota (1.5 quarters)

Worst possible outcome for Iowa. Not only do you lose, you created a massive QB controversy moving foward with how you played the QB decision making. Absolute disastrous performance from the Iowa offense today, but I think Kirk made it 10x worse

If you believe in jinxes, I take full responsibility for this performance from Iowa's offense after calling out anyone who thought this game would be 13-10, 12-9, 10-7, etc

Hank has literally been worse than Heck by every single possible QB thing you could look at. Like, there is no way Kirk can possibly believe under any circumstance that Hank is better fitted to pull out this win

Despite Iowa having a better running game and committing fewer penalties with Hank in at QB, Hank is at 2.1 yards per pass attempt. Hank even underthrew Diaz so badly that he drew a PI on Minnesota. If Heck isn't the QB after this timeout when he's been the only one to lead a drive this game ...
