Wenn die Institutionen, welche die demokratischen Werte wahren sollen, selbst politisiert sind? Wenn das ganze politische System darauf ausgerichtet ist, Ungleichheit zu zementieren? Und wenn das Volk, das die Demokratie leben soll, sie nicht mehr zu schätzen weiß?

Instead we should focus on which messages, ideas, and visions beyond "we need to beat the far right" have mobilized large parts of society. We should understand the organizational structures behind these victories and acknowledge that they are about more than defending the status quo.

In der Revolution mache das Proletariat die Erfahrung, dass die eigene Tätigkeit für sich selbst wertvoll ist. Das emanzipatorische Potenzial solcher Erlebnisse und Zustände werde vom Marxismus jedoch überhaupt nicht in Betracht gezogen.
