"The GloriFi legal battle includes well over a dozen overlapping lawsuits, many of which are pending in bankruptcy court in Dallas. These cases are not Mr. Jackson’s only legal entanglement. A prolific litigant, Mr. Jackson, an entrepreneur, ... has said that he has been deposed at least 25 times."

As Nelson Mandela once said, “May our choices reflect our hopes, not our fears.” Grateful to everyone across our great state for choosing hope.

Another day, another Trump press advisor forced to resign. Britt McHenry, a State Department press adviser who previously worked for ESPN and Fox News Media, caught on camera throwing her drink at a fan during a basketball game and blowing kisses to the crowd while being escorted out. Only the best.

Elon Musk boosted the lie that James Talarico stayed at a mental hospital. Meta suspended No Kings’ Instagram account during nationwide actions. Staff at the Ellison-owned CBS News were reportedly told to tie Abdul El-Sayed to the Muslim Brotherhood and 9/11. Democracy dies in billionaire hands.

The bill proposes that independent evaluators, registered with the Commerce Department, periodically evaluate the lab and its frontier models. It's also noted that the lab may pay the evaluators, but only if their independence remains unaffected.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but no one with intellect should be taking political advice or any advice from Matthew McConaughey. If he wants to waste his vote, that’s his issue, but the rest of us will be voting to save democracy from MAGA fascism.

Trump has repeatedly claimed his military strikes nearly stopped maritime drug trafficking. Yet DEA assessments found no meaningful reduction in U.S. cocaine supplies. Traffickers adapted, and prices remain low. Destroying boats measures activity. Reducing the drug supply would measure success.

@davidfrum.bsky.social on the one price Trump brought down: cocaine. “The price tells you: Is the substance scarce or is it abundant? ... it's become, over the Trump years, more abundant—despite killing all these people and blowing up all those boats—which tells you it doesn't work.”

Trump keeps blaming Ukraine's refinery strikes for soaring U.S. fuel prices. But diesel prices surged after the Iran war disrupted Gulf energy supplies. Ukrainian strikes may add pressure, but they don't explain the main spike. The timeline matters when assigning blame.

Olga Nesterova@onestpress.onestnetwork.com

I did a video one that earlier, but once again — Ukraine’s strikes are not responsible for the recent increase in gas prices, AND all strikes would end, if Russia ended its aggression against Ukraine.

New reporting says Musk proposed restricting Ukraine’s Starshield service directly to Trump — and Trump agreed. That would explain the White House order Reuters reported. It also conflicts with Trump’s claim that neither he nor Musk was responsible. Someone isn’t telling the truth.

Putin has been invited to December’s G20 in Miami while Russia is still invading Ukraine and striking its cities. Diplomacy may require talking to adversaries. But restoring the aggressor to normal international status before the aggression ends is a concession too.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

It is wrong to invite Putin to the upcoming G20, to permit him to sit at a conference table with leaders of countries he is attacking, and to pretend that he is entitled to equal status as an accepted member of the international community.

A CNN poll released less than a month ago found Hegseth with a 34% approval rating, suggesting that the former Fox News host was as unpopular as Donald Trump — the president who chose him for the Cabinet www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

I am glad our neighbors to the north have stable and sober leadership. Carney seems to be the only world leader that has accepted the US has been toppled by a violent Evangelical cult and its leader is being manipulated by the hostile powers Russia, Israel and China.

James Talarico: Texas is one of the hardest places to vote, and those in power are doing everything to hold on to power—from redrawing political districts to suspending voter registrations and closing of polling locations. Voter suppression is powerful, but it is nothing compared to people power.
