DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

Once year ago, this unchipped, collarless, too skinny puppy showed up in my front yard. When she came back the next day, I knew she'd chosen me. (This is the very first picture I was able to get of her face holding still for more than a second.)

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate. The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns. Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care. Big Tech buys off Congress. No action on AI safety. The list goes on and on. Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

This is just your reminder that Donald Trump has publicly urged his voters to commit voter fraud in every federal election he's ever run in, even as he's repeatedly failed to produce *any evidence* that voter fraud amongst his political opponents exists at any scale. He is scum.

I was momentarily excited about the SIZE of the unfolded iPhone. It's shorter and a little wider than most...and, yes! I want that. It doesn't need to fold. Just be shorter. My last phone gave me 6 years. My current, 4 years and counting. I'd like a short fat phone in 2ish years please.

Every so often when I'm playing fetch with my puppy, I pat her head and tell her she's a good dog and she gets this look on her face and I know exactly what she's thinking. THROW THE GODDAMN BALL ALREADY

"No business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country. By living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level - I mean the wages of decent living." .. (Franklin. D. Roosevelt) ..(cartoon Nick Anderson)

Videos and pictures do not capture how ridiculous and stupid these things look in person. And I always forget until I see one again.

This is such an important story.👇 Opponents of President Donald Trump’s dangerous executive order restricting mail voting say there’s a simple motivation behind the scheme: Democrats vote by mail more than Republicans. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

If you grew up reading VC Andrews, you should watch Riverdale for the most VC Andrews character I've ever seen: Cheryl Blossom. Whoever is still writing VC Andrews should publish a Blossom family 5 book series because I would buy them so fast.

So, the prevailing wisdom is 8 glasses of water a day. With each glass equalling 8oz (237mL). Or 64oz (1.9L) a day. Wall Street journal comes out saying 40oz (1.2L) may be too much. WE SEE YOU.

Food companies wanted deregulation. Now there are dozens of recalls across the country. Mining companies wanted deregulation. Now the black lung rate is at a 45-year high. Financial companies wanted deregulation. Now financial losses to fraud are the highest on record. Noticing a pattern?

There's been a kitten at my partner's workplace the last 2 weeks and no one's taken him home yet and anyway I think my partner is bringing him home and I approve.

Should I read Outlander? I avoided watching it because every time my mom put it on there was a sex scene. While I'm not opposed to sex scenes, I AM opposed to watching them with my mom.

How is my fur covered dog running and having a good time outside in the humid feels like 102 weather and I'm drenched in sweat just standing there watching? Am I somehow sympathetic sweating for her?
