It’s disappointing that the @iceblock.app dev has a severe misunderstanding of demographics and security. Android has an estimated 70% market share in U.S. Latino communities and a 90% market share in Mexico. Claims that Android installs are less anonymous are nonsense. bsky.app/profile/iceb...

Posting "why isn't this on Android", is not helpful. User anonymity is far more important than supporting multiple platforms. 54% of the country uses an iPhone. We know people have their own ideas to make it work, but please trust that we know what we're doing to keep people safe.

“why don’t you make the Android version then?” Someone could, but @iceblock.app’s marketing from the DOJ is simply unbeatable. Not releasing an Android version is squandering the moment. If you’re reading this dev: if you really want to make a difference, release an Android version. I’d donate.

Ah I think I know why this is happening. Remember that Bluesky is using JWT tokens for auth so it's likely that they have their access token timing as something like an hour, I haven't checked their repo out to see what they are set as but this is the most likely cause for this behaviour.

I just signed into SkyFeed with an app password then deleted all my app passwords. However, I can still interact with the app and perform write actions (likes/posts). Why is this? I revoked the password but it still works? #atproto #atdev
