Am liking this Grav at RB thing. Maybe we should just give up on having an RB and just rotate two midfielders and a CB there from here on out.

jackwraith.substack.com/p/why-dont-y... Stupid season never really ends, but it's ramping up in style, at the moment.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

"In the future, everyone will be a Trump Press Secretary for 15 minutes."

Am in it already and would highly recommend joining in for anyone interested in some personal perspectives on a man who inspired/created an entire genre of modern literature, art and especially gaming.

People are claiming that Elon Musk messed with Starlink in Ukraine because Trump asked him. I think a more likely reason is that Ukraine damaging Russian data centers embarrassed Elon by showing how many of his Twitter followers are nonexistent and how much traffic on Twitter is driven by bots.

I keep reading that there have been no public executions in the United States for decades. Not true.

Man City were on just 0.15 xG and 4 shots in total before the red card.

Hard to devise a better metaphor for the past decade and a half of Premier League football than Man City winning while playing with an extra man.

Boss 👌🏼

you'd have to say man city have put out a stronger eleven on paper. wonder how they managed to do that.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 is one of music's best-known works and the most frequently performed symphony in the world. This is an unusual public involvement during the 4th movement execution by the Noord Nederlands Orkest at the Lowlands Music Festival. Original post

These fucking clowns. Newsflash: The Alamo was not a victory. So if the underlying message here is that all of the local bigots should show up so they can lose the election... OK.

How I arrived on Bluesky:

This morning, the D&D team and Magic's Studio X informed our leadership of our intent to unionize. We love the games we make and the work we do, and unionizing is how we protect that work. unitedwizardsofthecoast.com/news/dnd-stu...

Oh hey so @80couches.bsky.social went and read the full Disciplinary Commission report on how they think Manchester City are guilty AF so you don’t have to. liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/liverpool-fc...

Writing is the act of creation. If you tell the machine to create it for you, then what's the point? It'd be like saying you're a woodworker and having a robot that does the actual carving of the wood.

@bravesandbirds.bsky.social Would love to know Steve's take on this.

Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story. For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards. Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

This is the two-stage message of every GOP politician going back to Goldwater: "None of those things or people matter!" And, then, when something directly affects them or their family: "Oh, wait..." Same story, every goddamn time, from health care to immigration to civil rights to the economy.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted.... History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” ― George Orwell, 1984

As a GW enthusiast for many years (albeit many years in the past, at this point) I cannot possibly detail how repellent this is: jamesdwyer2.substack.com/p/the-warham... Especially the "loot box" approach, where you may not even get the expensive model you hope you're paying for. Nauseating.

Totally created by Cody. Flo might get the assist because he was the last one to touch the ball before Alex scored, but that goal was all down to the work of Cody.

Going from watching Brighton's precision passing game which they used to eviscerate Arsenal to two clubs basically playing dump-and+chase is kinda demoralizing.

This Spurs-Villa match is like watching two guys being handed a protractor and a pencil and being told: "Design a building." and getting about the results you'd expect.

Saw the Oats Studio stuff on Netflix today. Eh? There were some good things, especially Rakka w/ Sigourney Weaver but the majority were relatively forgettable, including all the Bass-O-Matic type presentations.

A lot of the biggest AI boosters are very quick to confer humanity on whatever agent they use, while deny the humanity of certain actual humans, be they immigrants, trans people, etc. The Venn diagram there isn't a circle, but there's definitely some overlap.

www.greenlit.com/project/love... Not something I do often, but I know there are at least a couple more HPL enthusiasts out there. This is a doc that they're trying to complete via crowdfunding that's been in stasis for 36 years. Seems worth a shot.

This game is killing my interest in football. One side is so very Moyesian and the other looks like they'd be cutting edge in 1995.
