I had some feedback that some of the UX bits of zeepza weren't landing for the younger end, I added a new "Jr" difficulty that is simplified for folks. My daughter enjoyed it :)

Yesterday's letterdrop had a couple glitches, so I added some systems to (1) prevent proper names (2) validate unique answers and (3) give "partial credit" for to make it easier to tell which words are part of the (ideally) single valid solution.

Feedback has been super helpful on zeepza so far! My favorite thing of giving it to other people is how quickly they find things that should have been obvious to you

My kids and I do daily puzzles, like the NYT puzzles and such... but connections is kinda hard if you're a kid. I made a daily puzzle website that is kid-accessible, parent-fun, would love feedback zeepza.com

My quick other app take: I wish discord let you fork the app like bluesky does

Guys I'm sick of hearing about this app all the time. Let's talk about other apps. Give me your venmo takes

This is like one of the worst security vulnerabilities I've ever seen, they hard coded the root password identically in every single mower and the firmware resets it back every single time you update it. It can shows you the wi-fi credentials, address and email of every user. Great piece by Sean.

If you have, or know someone, with a Yarbo robot lawn mower... they might want to read this. www.theverge.com/tech/925696/...

I might play some of the other developers' submissions on a twitch stream tomorrow. (I submitted my game to TWO jams! There were two game jams that each had interesting constraints / themes so I made a game that adhered to both of them)

Has anyone ever written an Ayn Rand "fan fic" of Atlas Shrugged from the perspective of the atlas

New research suggests that negative emotions disrupt our ability to learn social patterns. A study found that people struggle to identify cause-and-effect relationships when viewing sad, angry, or fearful faces compared to happy ones. www.psypost.org/negative-fac... | via @psypost.bsky.social

It's ZZT's 35th birthday, I got back into making games in it recently as a hobby (bottom right game is mine!) -- but, it's what got me into coding. ZZT, tools like Scratch, Minecraft mods even, all fill a place in my heart, for giving people, esp kids, a chance to tell stories with code.

Happy 35th birthday ZZT! Thank you for showing us that anyone can make a game

Saying, "harassment has never worked", then citing "civil society" "healthy discourse" after the previous post feels contradictory and likely to lead to more of the same disappointment.

You are up to date.
