He/him. Level 40. Nerd. Borg Genesis. Probably playing Nintendo Switch 2 or obsessing over The Last Jedi or Andor. Wishing I had more Sega Saturn games. Sometimes not enjoying being an adult. Trying to not contribute negativity to the Internet.

I think there are least three or four games for the 2023 list that would probably make it into the top ten if I played them or played a lot more of them. But as of today, this is what it looks like.

2022! Getting close to the end! But I probably won't be sharing my final draft of my top ten list for this year until late December or early January. Best game you probably haven't played on this list? RPG Time! Go check it out!

I think my 2021 list might be controversial because Metroid Dread isn't number one. 😅

Random thought: I used to work at a bank and this woman would come in every week to make a deposit for her job. Extremely nice, genuine, sincere, etc. Very charismatic & easy to talk to. Loved spending a few minutes with her. She was one of the customers that made that shitty job tolerable.

I worked that job between 2012 and 2015. A few years after I left that job, I would eventually find out that she went off the deep end into right wing conspiracy theories and became a bitter MAGA person. Couldn't tell you any details but I know she lost her job because of her behavior at work.

Not sure what happened to her after that. I think about her sometimes though. Really sucks that half of this country is completely brain washed and/or full of misplaced anger. The villains are cartoonishly evil & corrupt, but it isn't them. It is definitely _insert "monster" of the week here_. 🙄

Looking back at 2020! I really enjoyed Avengers! So it sits high on the list! I only wish Captain Marvel made it into the roster. I didn't expect to enjoy the Trials of Mana remake as much as I did. Animal Crossing helped me survive the isolation of the pandemic.

Just read that Tom Skerritt died. He was 93. Never followed his career too closely but I enjoy seeing him show up in movies I watch. I'll always enjoy his performance as Captain Dallas in Alien. Rest in peace!

Top games of 2019! The year before the world shut shut down! Dragon Quest re-ignited my love for RPGs. Fallen Order was my first souls-lite! MUA3 came out of left field. I think we are overdue for a sequel or a Switch 2 Edition.

2018 is here! Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Spider-Man, and Tomb Raider! All of which share one of my favorite favorite game genres: third person action adventure games! You should be playing Dusk if you're looking for a spooky game this season.

Top games of 2017! Battlefront II had a rough start but turned into something special. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe made the list because all the extra content it would get on the Switch. If you missed out on Everything (the game), you should check it out. Dragon's Trap was my first Wonder Boy game!

Here is something interesting about my best of 2016 list: Most of the games featured here, I wouldn't actually play until a year or more later. I was mostly hooked on Star Wars: Battlefront, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, and probably a handful of virtual console games.

My top games of 2015! Did you get to experience Affordable Space Adventures? Also, this was the year that I got a PS4. The release of Arkham Knight had me excited to jump on that. Battlefront still looks absolutely jaw dropping over ten years later.

The Last Guardian was definitely one I played as soon as it arrived at my door. It is clunky, frustratingly clunk at times but when it works it feels great. It's so beautiful and I was engaged from beginning to end!

I think The Walking Dead is something that has probably overstayed its welcome but I also think that because this series is mostly set overseas, it keeps things feeling fresh. That and they keep introducing interesting zombie variants. Reedus and McBride always do great work, too.

Starts off strong and intriguing but quickly spirals into something kinda dumb, mostly dull. Probably wouldn't have given it a chance had it not starred John Leguizamo. First time I've seen Hayden Christensen outside of Star Wars.

2014! Seemingly the make or break year for Wii U! Mario Kart 8 entered the chat and still hasn't left. 🤣 Two Smash Bros. games! And yet another Telltale game of course! Probably some games here that are missing because I haven't played them!

Finished Orbitals last night and loved it. Maybe not quite as good as It Takes Two or Split Fiction but it's pretty close. The art style alone is one of the best things I've seen in gaming. There was one aspect of the ending that hit me in the feels, too. Cannot recommend this game enough!

I usually like to keep it pretty light on my page but I'm sick of these mass shootings in America. It breaks my heart every time. No matter how much it upsets our elected officials, nothing gets seemingly gets done because there is too much opposition to change that will make a difference.

Games of 2013! Probably at least two or three games that you think should be here. 🤷‍♂️. If you can't tell, I really like Telltale games! Anyways, this was a great year for video games! Arkham Origins remaster when?! 😤

So I started playing Doom 3 as now seems like the ideal season to play through it. I think I'm half way through the game. It holds up pretty well although I don't think I would need to make adjustments to my current top ten list of games from 2004.

On to 2012! The year that Wii U launched! I am one of the people that actually liked the original ending of Mass Effect 3. The new one was way better of course. As much as it cramped my hands, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Kid Icarus. Telltale's The Walking Dead was also a big surprise!

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is one of my favorite Game Boy games. The soundtrack fits the game well but it isn't something I would want to listen to outside of the game. But! Some of the tracks seem like they seem like they could fit in Link's Awakening b/c both games share the same composer.

Got through through the gauntlet that did a number on my wallet this month. 2026 just has four games I have on preorder: Godzilla, Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and maybe Dispatch.
