I've had Pokémon Sword crash on me twice on Nintendo Switch 2 before I've gotten to the second gym badge. I don't recall Sword or Shield crashing when I last played them (2019-2021?). :( May dig out the Switch 1...

We only had one "drop" of SEGA Mega Drive games in 2024 and 2025, and we've not had one yet in 2026. We've also not had any Super NES games in 2026, so I would expect that for November / December. Sorry, Nintendo GameCube optimists.

This is how they should have handled the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition physical releases for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and the downloadable content.

If you're part of the No Disc, No Buy movement and opt to instead pirate games via a PlayStation 5 jailbreak you're missed the objective. The goal should be to hurt PlayStation's financials exclusively, not that of game developers too.

Even just by doing the math, if PlayStation's cut is 30%, 70% of your action is harming something other than PlayStation. Are you actually okay with that? All while mourning the loss of Armature, BioWare, Bluepoint, Sanzaru....

Having said that, year to date Nintendo have added 37 games, whereas PlayStation have added 11. Info is specific to the UK, so I'm not counting Indigo Prophecy / Fahrenheit as this was a 2016 launch in the UK. I have also started a new spreadsheet... why is this info so damn unreliable online.

Here are the 2026 lists. Ignore the bold text on the Nintendo list, those are just games I still need to make the graphics for the Nintendo 365 UK project.

There was a wave of folk talking about Star Fox Adventures recently, because it dropped on Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics. That would have either been massively dispersed over time, or simply not happened.

I have memories of playing Super Mario Bros. Deluxe with some folk from my university on Nintendo 3DS in February 2014, stuff like that wouldn't happen if it just dropped on console release day.

If everything is there immediately, I'm likely to gravitate towards what I know. For me, the slow roll-out encourages discovery and online discourse.

Trying to predict what's still to come for the KF Top 100 (Slots 20 - 01). All I can think of is Skyrim, Ocarina of Time, Mario Galaxy, Portal (any). I don't think we see TOTK. We might see Kingdom Hearts, Balatro, Smash Ultimate, Among Us?

I got new glasses from Boots Opticians two months ago and I’m honestly appalled at how shoddy the build quality is on the frame, and how poor the blue light coating is compared to the (cheaper!) coating on my old Specsavers pair. I doubt they will last six months. It’s true what they say…

I saw the date of birth on their screen, same date and month, but 12 years older than me. I said “I was born in 199X, not 198X?” they dead ass looked at me and said “199X? Are you sure?” ARE YOU SURE? (1) It’s my date of birth. (2) Damn, I look old.

In their defence, this guy had: • Same first and last name • Same birthday But… • Different birth year • Lived South West England (we’re in Scotland)

The whole experience was a bit of a shambles, too. “Oh, your eyesight has improved?” (No, it hasn’t) “Oh, you’ve developed astigmatism?” (No, I already had that) They’d loaded the wrong person’s information.

What if the reason we don't have Pokémon Colosseum on Nintendo Classics yet is because they're going to make it work with the Nintendo Switch ports of Ruby and Sapphire.

Call me a boot licker, I don’t care, but the way I see it: I’d written off any and all Pokémon re-releases a year ago, so to get FR/LG and some HOME compatibility that is on par with other Pre-Switch games. I’m happy; I’ll take it.

I'm really holding my tongue today. I am seeing so many dumbass takes being peddled as fact Like, if it was feasible for two way transfer, then they would have actually done it, shockingly. They didn't just sit and think "Oh we'll do it one way, just because".

Tonight's entertainment: Watching the clips-and-highlights channel in the Sonic discord as the moderation team furiously delete every message that comes in and still can't keep up

Also, given we got FireRed & LeafGreen on Nintendo Music alongside their Nintendo eShop release, I now suspect Ruby & Sapphire aren’t happening this week as speculated.

I wonder if they’re going to add Zelda soundtracks to Nintendo Music alongside debuting the cards in Nintendo Today. Just started Majora’s Mask cards, and the soundtrack is coming on Friday.

Possible soundtracks: Link’s Awakening (GB/C) Oracle of Ages/Seasons (GBC) A Link to the Past + Four Swords (GBA) The Minish Cap (GBA) Four Swords Adventures (GCN) Phantom Hourglass (GCN / Wii) Spirit Tracks (DS) Majora’s Mask 3D (3DS) Tri Force Heroes (3DS) Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) Age of Calamity

UK publishers / media owners - have you turned off AI overviews in Google Search Console for your site(s), and if so, what impact has it had? Should be a no brainer decision as this post says it won't affect rankings, but I'm wary that's actually not true!

bbc.co.ukUK publishers allowed to opt out of Google AI search resultsThe Competition and Markets Authority says it would put publishers "in a stronger position to negotiate content deals with Google".
