Does anyone have any good book recommendations on social media? Scope can be anything - historical, technical, political - just looking to understand what's out there

Did you know that from tomorrow, Qualtrics is offering synthetic panels (AI-generated participants)? Follow me down a rabbit hole I'm calling "doing science is tough and I'm so busy, can't we just make up participants?"

We're finding that many participants don't quite get what we mean by sense of body ownership / agency and related concepts, and want to put everyone on same page before a VR body manipulation - curious if anything standardised is already out there!

Really pleased that this paper from my PhD has been published in Nature Scientific Reports! www.nature.com/articles/s41... We used mixed reality to explore how manipulating multisensory integration leads to dis-ownership from the body and how those experiences relate to trait dissociation

I thought it could be nice to connect the community of researchers exploring body-brain interactions on bsky, so here is the Body-Brain Interactions Starter Pack! πŸ«€πŸ«πŸ‘€πŸ§  #neuroskyence #academicsky Let me know if you would like to be added or know someone to add. This week I'm starting my year-long post-doctoral fellowship funded byESRC & SeNSSDTP. It will be a deep dive into how extended reality technologies can be used to explore the sense of self - do get in touch if that sounds interesting to you!

You are up to date.
