If you want to access applications with your account in a different tenant from your own, like Teams or a special Docs hub, you need to allow this in your Cross-tenant settings of your own tenant. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/.... Not doing so will yield in a `500212` error. #askMeHowIKnow

Oh no, it looks like the #Teams API finally stopped working on MacOS for my #SteamDeck, after being marked as Deprecated for a while now. Any known alternatives that are relative easy to use?

What feature is this line-highlighting in VS Code? It started showing up like this some time last week. I like the squigglies, but the full line highlights not so much. Figured it would be Error Lens, but can't find an option with a matching description. Disabled cSpell too for same reason.

Tell me a developer has designed the functionality without telling me a developer has designed the functionality.

`Copy` something on one device and `Paste` it on another is one of the coolest features when living in the Apple ecosystem. I'm using it quite a bit now that I know this feature exists.

West Europe is full, so deploying our solutions to Germany now. Creating a new thing now: > AKS is experiencing heavy usage in region germanywestcentral. We are working on adding new capacity. In the meantime, please consider creating new AKS clusters in a different region. Well, that's annoying

Someone told me I should have a click highlighter for my live demos. So I vibe coded one in 10 minutes with Codex. Meet ClickLight! Wild that we can just build this stuff now. Grab it below ↓

I'm trying to record (input and output) audio on my Mac via a #MAUI app. This works fine, but when I'm connecting my AirPods it only records silence. Probably same for other Bluetooth devices. Is there a way to record audio that way? Tried different approaches, none succeeded so far.

If you're leaving GitHub, we'd be very happy to chat! We work remotely, pay top-end of European salaries and are hell bent on building the best code forge ever. We're hiring for one intermediate/senior role right now: jobs.tangled.org/software-eng.... Go, Firecracker, distributed systems.

You know, now is probably a good time to recruit GitHub employees. I know that if I worked there, I would be actively interviewing (...and being oddly silent on social media)

Homebutler rolls Docker ops, dashboards, backups, app installs, multi-server SSH, and Wake-on-LAN into one Go binary. The MCP layer is optional, not the gimmick. This is the kind of project that replaces a ragged pile of shell scripts and tiny SaaS subscriptions. github.com/Higangssh/ho...

Me: "The problem you solved still occurs. Here's the crash report, fix again." Copilot: "The user ran the app twice in the same broken build... A new build with the fix would take at minimum several minutes — impossible in 66 seconds." Looks like my machine is too fast, it's calling me a liar...

Sending the same report again: "The user confirmed the crash "Still occurs" at 15:43 UTC+2 (13:43 UTC), which is 56 minutes after our fix commit — enough time for a rebuild. This is a NEW crash from a new binary (different ASLR base address)." Well, thanks for believing me now, Copilot...

The Obsidian team is growing from three engineers to four engineers. Competitive SF salary. Fully remote, live anywhere. Apply below.

Installed XCode and learning about `maccatalyst-arm64` and `Microsoft.MacCatalyst.Sdk` platforms and packages. Guess what I am doing... I'm just so glad @jfversluis.dev is located in the same timezone :-)

I already remember why I disliked this. Somehow the packages/workload wants XCode 26.2 installed. However, I just installed 26.4 from the App Store. This causes me not being able to compile. Now have Agents running some research on how to move forward.

Maybe it was the ramp up, but now that everything is working it's quite an OK experience. Could be the Stockholm-syndrome talking, but I'm quite happy. Of course, #GitHub #Agents have helped a ton in solving the issues. So did #OpenCode for my local setup.

Ah yes, I just love me some client-side secrets. That way I can fetch the secret values from the response payload and use it for myself. Just received something like this from a service I'm using. ``` { "is_secret": true, "secretKey1": "abc", "secretKey2": "def" } ```

Looking forward to Saturday morning when I have a route planned through the nearby woods and test these new tires!

"We aren't given time to write tests." is an excuse I heard today at a firm. Meanwhile, the PR reviews take numerous hours of people manually validating if the changes work. I thought we, as an industry, had moved forward and accepted creating tests is part of the job. Guess not.

The new Teams update with buttons for the type of chats you have is rather annoying. Whenever there's an unread message I now have check if it's in Channels, Chat, Meeting Chats or in one of the other tenants I'm in. Many clicks that only required scrolling until yesterday.

Is there a way to check where Authenticator requests originate from? The past couple of nights a request came in and I'd like to check where it's coming from if possible. Obviously, I wasn't awake to approve or decline.

TIL: the order of the firewall rules in the #Unifi Policy Table don't reflect the actual order of rules. You need to go to the Zones and select the policies for a specific zone (Internal to Internal in my case). This table reflects the order This has cost me quite some hours troubleshooting

It's amazing to experience I can print in black & white, color, double-sided, different orientations, etc. from my phone (iPhone) without configuring anything, 'it just works'. But when printing from a PC or Mac I need to do a bunch of stuff and still can only print black&white in single orientation

Communities on Discord. I get it, but man, it's hard to search and follow interesting topics. With big groups chats are just too fast and information gets lost. I don't get why people have opted out proper forums like we have had for years.

This but *literally all software*. The worst conversations in commercial software development are planning conversations that take longer to occur than a quick spike would to materialise. Do the work, don't talk, for all of this category of things.

I will never forget my old lead designer at Turbine, Chris Clay, who had a rule: Never spend more time talking about a design in a meeting than it would take to prototype it and see. I was in plenty of meetings where he suddenly slapped the table and invoked Clay's Law

TIL the private endpoint DNS zone for a Key Vault is `privatelink.vaultcore.azure.net` and not `privatelink.vault.azure.net`. Don't ask me how many hours I've spent troubleshooting the issue of my Container App not able to retrieve secrets from KV.

It's great to know that I am right in certain areas. But reading all day "You're absolutely right!" kind of lowers the dopamine shot it should trigger. #coding #copilot
